Since most of the MTDC Resorts are in prime locations, expected this one too. Not that close to the Beach. The Resort is under development. New Cottages are yet to be officially commissioning. The present cottages are good but nothing more than that. Dusty Surroundings, a restaurant for name sake though they try their best to give good service, no... More

Went to Harihareshwar and had not booked a hotel in advance. After reaching we called MTDC and they said they had cottages available. Had seen one hotel before. Shivshanti at Srivardhan which had cockraches and frogs roaming in the AC rooms and dint know what to expect here. But had a sigh of relief when we reached the Beach Resort.... More

MTDC Harihareshwar is about 230 kms from Mumbai, off Mumbai Goa Highway ( Take right at Mangaon and drive about 50 Kms). Presently there are only a few Konkani Cottages available for booking but their condition is not good. The place is under major renovation and looks like the place is getting a major face-lift. There is at least 6... More

We went to harihareshwar to have fun on the 3 beaches of harihareshwar shrivardhan and diveagar. We stayed at MTDC. The KONKANI AC cottage is nice though a bit old. The ac works fine and there are no power cuts. MTDC staff is very homely. The restaurant is being run at a makeshift place as the resort is in its... More

We quite liked this place, as a good weekend gateway from the humdrum of Mumbai. The drive down is good, early morning even better. Takes around 5 hours from vashi. And yes, Google maps help in case there aren't people on the road to guide. The rooms are quite basic, but enough for a family of 3, with an infant.... More

Harihareshwar is a tiny town located around 250 kms from Mumbai. To get there you should avoid the old-goa highway & take the route from the Pune Expressway. The road is much better apart from a few stretches of tarmac such as the road along the Imagica stretch. The journey takes close to 4 - 5 hours & is not... More

They have small independent cottages to reside in. Very close proximity to the temple. No fancy stuff. No hotel type services. Beach can be explored from the temple side or narrow passages between the streets. Food served is also lacks tastes. Water is overall salty. Not very comfortable to stay when you are particular about being served. But 100% my... More

Visited this place in April 2014 with friends. The cottages, though old, were very comfortable. The staff was very helpful and the quiet ambiance makes you relax. Food service isn't really something to write home about but is efficient nonetheless. New cottages were under construction when we visited & I'm told MTDC has started allocating them. They are even better.

It's the best that you can get there. Shouldn't be expecting too much of the hotel, but it's worth the price you pay. I would recommend it. Carry you own toiletries, the hotel provides as good as nothing.

The drive from Pune to Harihareshwar is the most memorable drive I had in few years , we started late night in scary and windy western ghat , with animals howling and no one in the dark it was real adventure. I suggest to keep water etc in ample amount as you are not going to find shops frequently. MTDC... More
