We were so please we picked Cheriton House for our short stay in Dorset. Both Andy and Tara were so very friendly when we arrived and made us feel more like friends than guests. The room was spacious and very comfortable. The breakfasts were tasty and well cooked. 5 star service all the time we ere there.

The house itself is on the street but the village is very quite so it was not an issue. Andy and Tara are very friendly, keeping everything clean and tidy. The breakfast was amazing. The village itself has nothing to offer but it is a great place to stay if you want to explore Dorset because everything is within an... More

The devil is in the detail. From the informal and genuine welcome, to the well laid out rooms, through to the delicious breakfast, this proved to be a perfect weekend stay. Advice on where to eat (and where to avoid) was spot on. Winfrith Newburgh itself is delightful and easy to find. Many thanks! Ian and Allyson, Worcester

We've just stayed for 2 nights in this wonderful guest house which is great value for money. We had a lovely large room and spacious bathroom, all very clean and comfy and above all the guy that runs the place couldn't be more lovely and helpful. He also cooks up a fantastic breakfast. Winfrith itself is a nice little village... More

"Lovely B&B with lovely, helpful, welcoming family. Beautifully decorated, comfortable room. Peaceful and quiet area would definitely visit again. Oh and the breakfast was immense!!!" Rob and Danielle, Northamptonshire.

What a warm welcome from Andy when we arrived, the room was lovely and spacious with little touches that went above of what you expect from a B&B, fresh flowers in room and chocolates as well as tea, coffee etc. On suite was spotlessly clean and fresh. We met Tara the following morning for breakfast who was apologetic that she was... More

We stayed at Cheriton House due to a last minute change to our plans. What a fantastic find. We arrived late on Friday evening, and were greeted by Tara & Andy. Wonderful hosts, we were shown to our rooms and they were immaculately clean as was our bathroom. Fluffy towels and a massive bath that soon eased away the stress... More

The landlord was extremely friendly and emailed directions a few days before our first night to make sure that we found it. If I had to guess I'd say that the place was built around the late 18th century, so a double room really was a double room. The room had its own en-suit, which was modern with an electric... More

Stayed here for a one night business trip to the area - needed accomodation at short notice and the more usual "business hotels" were thin on the ground. I was delighted with my stay here. This is a beautiful part of the world and Cheriton house is in a lovely quiet village location with a very nice, traditional pub within... More

I wanted a village location near the Dorset coast for 3 nights, bookable online, and Cheriton House matched my requirements. My room was #1, with its own en-suite bathroom, and a view into the walled garden of the house opposite. It was nice, light and very clean. The road outside was quiet at night. The bed was comfortable and the... More
