If you want a great view, bed, breakfast with a smile, and beautiful accommodations with a true Alaska experience stay at the Turnagain View B&B. It was just about 20 minutes from the Anchorage airport and very easy to get to. The owners were absolutely the host and hostess with the mostest. My husband got up early every morning just... More

We brought a group of teens to a symposium in Anchorage and got lucky enough to book the Cowles' b&b. The 7 girls took over the Scissors Suite and the two guys took the Paper room with one of them sleeping on an air mattress on the floor. This arrangement worked out great for us. The breakfasts were hearty and... More

This place is a must stay gem! Amazing views of Turnagain Arm, spotless, comfortable, and Arlene is a great hostess. Don't miss it! There are 4 "hidden" beds behind curtains that kids would find really cool.

Beautiful lodge set above Turnagain Arm. The drive up got our heart-racing but once at the top it was worth it. The breakfast was fantastic with locally grown and bought items: fresh eggs, greens, raindeer sausage etc. Owners are very nice and accommodating. Highly recommended.

Arlene & Roger were wonderful, welcoming hosts to my husband, myself and our 1 year-old (they were great with him!). We had a very comfortable stay with delicious homemade food and good stories :) Started our trip off right!

Our hosts, Roger and Arlene Cowles, turned over their entire home to my wife and me and the two other senior couples travelling with us on our recent 2 week vacation in Alaska. Their home is large, beautifully furnished and very quiet. The views are spectacular from their living room and decks. Our bedrooms and bathrooms were spotless and very... More

There are so many B&B's in Alaska that are nothing more than a room to sleep in. Turnagain View Bed and Breakfast is a perfect example of what every B&B should strive to be like. Arlene and Roger were the perfect hosts in every way, from the exquisite lodging to the enjoyable talks to the amazing breakfasts. The large log... More

I found this B&B on the internet and it was everything I hoped for. It was nice being close enough to Anchorage but out of town a bit. It is a beautiful log home and each bedroom has its own floor. We stayed in the Paper Room and we had our own bathroom - not shared. It also had a... More

We had a wonderful stay here at what zips a three story "log cabin". I add the quotes as it is made of logs but in it is cavernous. My daughter and I along with four grandchildren (9-17) enjoyed a three night stay with Rodger & Arlene. Gracious hosts. We stayed in the scissors suite which can accommodate 8. The... More

My wife & I stayed here not once but twice during a two week vacation. If there was a rating higher than 5 star. I would of awarded it to Arlene & Rodger. The log home is 3 levels & sits high on a hillside over looking Turnagain Bay & the snow capped Mts beyond. With wide and unobstructed views.... More
