Good old french militar hotel with a very nice restaurant with excellent fresh fish, meat and salads. Delicious desearts. friendly staff always help us and give the informations we need in order to visit the most interesting points of the island.

Flores is a stunningly beautiful island and a "must-see" place to visit. Wonderful scenery and rugged coastline. Hotel accommodation is limited to the three located in Santa Cruz das Flores. There are also several cottages and a guest house on the west side of the island but the arwa is remote and car hire becomes a necessity. Of the three... More

We love Flores but if you go in the winter, the best available lodging is the Servi-Flor and if you're used to 4-star accomodations you're about to suffer. No elevator, tiny room, '50s furnishings and fixtures, etc. We complained and they actually gave us a 2-bedroom apartment but it was totally spartan (altho they do have decent cable tv). They... We were put here because our flight back to London was cancelled due to bad weather conditions. SATA said when booking the room for us (although I don't think any booking was required since hardly any of the rooms were taken) that the food in the hotel's restaurant was very good. However, when we arrived they first informed us (sort... More

The hotel has a very good restaurant and lies in a beautiful area. For the rest, it is not worth more than two stars, and I can confirm that the owner is rather rude. Avoid rooms 27 and 28: they are just above the big airconditioning for the restaurant: even with closed windows you won't want to stay in the... More

My husband and I stayed here for 1 night and we regret not having stayed longer. We came here after a disappointing experience with an apartment on the other side of the island, in Fajã Grande, and to find clean towels and sheets, a decent bathroom and a gentle host was more than we could ask for. It is true... More

An old French base which was converted to a hotel which still holds its charisma. The owner is always ready to serve its guests and assure that they feel welcome. The prices are reasonable. It has a great view. The rooms are not too big but are comfortable. The furniture is simple but nothing is missing.

I was litle scared by reading rewiew here. Personal was wery obliging, internet working perfect, rooms looked as new painted but furniture and equipment was very outdated. Rooms are litle small for all our staff but for summer holiday way not?

I booked this hotel for my wife and I for 3 nights 18-21 Jul 13. I must say I was reluctant based on two previous customer reviews. I took the chance and was glad I did. The price was great and the stay excellent. I do not understand the two previous negative comments; one about the manager and one about... More

We didn't stay at the hotel, we would only go to the restaurant for lunch or dinner. The waiters were friendly but the owner was extremely rude. We had a problem with our food at dinner one night and the owner literally yelled at us and told us we were lying. We're paying customers and there's no need for that.... More
