Have just returned from 7 lovely days staying at Puaikura Reef Lodges. Jane took over the property in March and she has done a wonderful job in sprucing up the place. We stayed in unit number 5, our feature walls were, what I would call hibiscus red. With the units being self catering, this helps reduce the cost of eating... More

Kia Orana Creamcake 21 Thank you so much for your positive review. It was a pleasure to meet you and I am glad you enjoyed your stay. We like to think this is a quiet little slice of Paradise and with only 12 rooms the pool and the beach across the road are never crowded. I hope the temperatures are... More

Puaikura Reef Lodge had everything we needed and more. We were a group of 6 spread over 4 units which were very clean and surprisingly spacious; each with their own veranda overlooking the pool. A large kitchen enabled us to stock up on food and invite our friends over for drinks and snacks and the afternoons. It also meant that... More

We stayed here for 5 nights and really enjoyed ourselves. The rooms are a good size ( didn't expect them to be so large) and very clean with good facilities. We were welcomed with a fruit platter ( fresh coconut, delicious!) and the staff were knowledgeable and super friendly about where to go and what to do. There is a... More

Dear Abonell, I am pleased to hear you enjoyed your stay with us. Our Superior studios are bathed in abundant natural light and as you mention are much larger than your average hotel room. Walking along the beach at sunset to the Shipwreck Bar is a 'must do'..even navigating the crabs on the way back is an experience. Thank you... More

This is a nicely sized hotel, There are about 12 rooms which makes it more intimate. Our room was well serviced each day, very clean, large and airy and the overhead fan kept it cool. Nice big bed that was very comfy. The fruit bowl waiting on arrival was a nice touch, as was the filtered water in the fridge.... More

I was not impressed with Puaikura Reef Lodges, it is definitely not like the brochures. It is very run down. service was poor - transfers to & from airport are not reliable at all. The headboards need to be secured to the wall as they bang every time you move. The ants are very annoying, getting all through our food.... More

Dear Animal, Thank you for taking the time to share your impressions of Puaikura Reef Lodges. As I have mentioned to others in your party in previous review responses, due to the heavy rain you experienced during your stay at the beginning of March the water from the tap will appear brown as the sediment has not had a chance...
