We arrived in the Cook Islands at 2 am to be met by our taxi. Short ride to the Accomodation. The room was very comfortable with large bed a nice separate lounge area. We had our own basic cooking facilities and access to an outdoor gas barbecue. With a nice saltwater pool to cool down in this place has everything... More

I was not impressed with Puaikura Reef Lodges, it is definitely not like the brochures. It is very run down. service was poor - transfers to & from airport are not reliable at all. The headboards need to be secured to the wall as they bang every time you move. The ants are very annoying, getting all through our food.... More

Dear Animal, Thank you for taking the time to share your impressions of Puaikura Reef Lodges. As I have mentioned to others in your party in previous review responses, due to the heavy rain you experienced during your stay at the beginning of March the water from the tap will appear brown as the sediment has not had a chance... this was a poor introduction to Rarotonga, unfortunately we stayed 9 nights. The place is run down, tiles missing in our shower, water from UV treated tap at times was brown, appliances not working, dodgy power switches. We travelled as a large group with young children, 1 of the children ran through an ant nest as was bitten loads of... More

Thank you for taking the time to share your impressions of your stay at Puaikura Reef Lodges. As you are aware I took over the property one week prior to your arrival. Many of the maintenance issues you referred to have since been rectified and our upgrade of the property is ongoing. Unfortunately during your stay we experienced very heavy... More

Thank you for taking the time to share your impressions of Puaikura Reef Lodge. Having taken over the property at the beginning of March I would agree that there are areas that could be improved and thank you for highlighting specific areas you feel need attention. Our maintenance program has begun as has the upgrade of all 12 rooms. It... More

Upon arrived we were greeted in our room by several displays of flowers, which was very nice. Our room was nice and clean and only a few steps away from the pool, and the beach was just across the road. The staff were very friendly and helpful, we had our towels changed several times during our stay. We noticed in... More

My partner and I spend 4 days in this great little Resort. In September it was pretty quite, you basically had the pool to yourself If you arrive after hours you can call the friendly hotel staff and they will arrange access to your room. The staff was also very helpful in arranging scooters, airport drop off and assisting with... More

This was our second stay here - we love the relaxed atmosphere of this "resort", it's very small with only 13 rooms so there is very little noise or completion for the pool or bbq. The staff are very friendly - Lotu and Rangi go out of their way to help in any way. The local cat Rio was also... More

We stayed at puaikura for 5days, staff were friendly and helpful. Room was good, spacious and clean. my family and I were very pleased and hope to return. Because it is smaller than the large hotels and motels, we got to know the staff on first name basis and they helped us a lot. Pool very close to rooms, which... More

we stayed at the aroa bungalow, which housed all six of us comfortably. We were 50 mt from a fantastic beach.. Although the furniture could do with a little t.l.c ,but this is a fantastic option for a big families because you need a bit of space and privacy.

Our room was at the end of the block right beside the main road so you could hear the road noise all night long. The linen did not get changed one day and when we asked for clean linen at the office it did not arrive. Mosquito screens were old and somewhat broken.
