On our fourth visit to the Cook Islands, we took a package that landed us at Puaikura Reef Lodges (also owned by this resort). My husband didn't cope with the lack of air conditioning, so we upgraded to this spot. It totally turned our vacation around: with a gorgeous pool setting, credible restaurant, and really friendly bunch of co-travelers sharing... More

Overview We recently stayed at the Manuia Beach Resort after reading a number of other reviews. Overall I think we were disappointed with this resort and as a result would not stay here again. We have listed the pros and cons below. Positives • Nice tidy villas with sandy paths and pretty gardens between these villas and the reception /... More

We would like to thank you for your detailed feedback. Your comments are very valuable to us and we appreciate them. Your comfort, relaxation and satisfaction is at the centre of everything we do. But some things simply come with the location and nature of the island. The roosters and rain are things we can do precious little about. But... More

This small beach resort is set on the beach overlooking the lagoon. The beach is empty in both directions and the sunsets are spectacular. It is all about the setting. A little laid back and in no hurry it is a perfect place to dismiss the stresses of urban living. So the reception only opens a few hours a day... More

We stayed at Manuia for 6 nights at the beginning of Nov. We asked for bungalow 8 as we'd stayed in it 3 times before -- it is now a VIP suite but they let us rent it without the VIP extras of golf club membership etc. This was because it was low season I believe. The gardens are magnificent... More

Beautiful place to stay. The resort setting and gardens are spectacular, well maintained and located right on the beach front. There is a narrow stretch of reef that is perfect for snorkelling. The staff were mainly very friendly and helpful, in particular the bar and restaurant staff. The rooms are really nice, with a big comfy bed and lovely bathroom.... More

Once again, we have had a wonderful, super-relaxing holiday at Manuia Beach. We love Rarotonga, and Manuia Beach is the only place we would stay. Room 1 is the VIP suite, and it really is the best location in the resort. We felt very spoilt staying there, and were treated really well by all the staff. Manuia Beach has the... More

Great hotel and great staff! Not too touristy. Fairly good price. We spent 5 days here on our honeymoon in October and saw whales from the beach. Clean rooms, great personable staff. Would definitely stay again if we return to Rarotonga. Alex the GM and Tony at the bar were excellent!

We stayed at Manuia for a week and even though we had heavy rain for two days in the middle of our holiday we had the best time. The breakfasts were delicious (particularly the pancakes), we loved the outdoor shower and the staff were so accommodating and friendly. The resort is beautiful and the island itself is breathtaking. We were... More

We stayed in room 12 and agree that we did not miss having a beach front room as there were plenty of lounge chairs around the pool/beach. My favorite part of our stay was the clothesline in the outdoor shower. This was very handy for hanging wet swimsuits and also giving my sundresses a quick rinse. My biggest complaint was... More
