If I could give it more than 5 stars, I would. This place is amazing - not just the location, feel of the place, fruit on site or beauty of the island, but that which seems to be missing so much - a personal (and then some touch). Looking for a tropical adventure, where do we go but to Trip... More

We loved the garden setting a few minutes away from the beach. It was windy some days while were in Rarotonga and it gave us the best of both worlds to go for a swim and return to our bungalow to read and relax out of the wind. Tricia, the owner is an excellent host. She provided fruit for us... More

This place was a great find. I was trekking by myself, and had planned on visiting the Cook Islands for quite a while, but was looking for a place where I could have privacy as well enjoy what the island had to offer. I found it in this wonderful little bungalow. It is a two minute walk from one of... More

First, my conflicts of interest: (a) I knew the owner, Tricia Thompson, in Wellington a couple of decades ago; (b) In 2013, when visiting Rarotonga, we helped a friend, who was minding the place for Tricia, clean one of the bungalows. It was the 'helping out' experience in 2013 that decided us to book a bungalow for June 2014. Best... More

Just love this place and it is two minutes walk from the best snorkelling in Rarotonga. Trish the owner is simply fantastic and everything is in the bungalow that you need for a great stay and we were there 16 nights. Lorraine, Trish's minder is brilliant as well and anything you need to know about attractions, local shopping and restaurants... More

This was a great place to stay in Rarotonga. The location is just inland from the best snorkel beach on the island. The bungalow was lovely--nicely decorated, very clean, well maintained, and well equipped. Tricia was so very helpful and gracious, giving us great suggestions for things to do and places to eat and giving us insight on island life.... More

Aroa Kainga Bungalows are tucked down a quiet lane, about a 2 minute walk to a marine reserve. They were a great place to base our holiday from as we were able to easily access the beach, bus and walks on the "back road". The bungalows are set in a lovely tropical garden and a special treat for us was... More

We have recently returned from a 9 night stay at the wonderful Aroa Kianga bungalows. I can echo all the previous positive reviews but wanted to add that Lorraine went above and beyond in taking time with us to point out great places on Rarotonga and share her general knowledge. Many thanks Lorraine and also to Trish who sorted out... More

An amazing location 2 minute walk to the beach which is part of a marine reserve so excellent snorkeling. We booked both bungalows and had a wonderful holiday with our family. Lorraine was there to meet us and gave us lots of information about places to go, bus timetables and good places for dinner. Could not recommend highly enough. Will... More

Aroa Kainga exceeded my expectations! I had the most wonderful holiday! I was traveling solo, and was looking for a good central location at a decent price. The bungalow was perfectly equipped with everything you could need. Very comfortable, cozy and well laid out. The place was VERY clean and tidy and the shower was excellent. The fresh fruit and...
