Stayed here for first time with our tourer and won't be back! - Pitches were far too close together and of a poor quality. - Toilets were a disgrace-only 2 gents cubicles for whole site and one toilet was loose and leaking. - Shower rooms equally bad with missing toilet seats and nowhere to hang/put your things out of the... We booked the Heritage Holiday Home for the Monday to Friday and it was absolutely wonderful. The caravan was really clean inside - its the first time I have been in a caravan and gone "ooooh" - the rooms were an excellent size, with the master room having an ensuite toilet. We came away with my two children (7 and... More

Just returned from a fantastic week at Shell Bay. Plenty to do even if the weather isn't that good. My daughter aged 7 and my 2 nieces aged 9 and 13 loved the park which has a pirate ship themed play area and going down to the beach every day. My wee dog called Bertie loved going for walks at... We went for a week in August 14. 2 adults, 2 kids & a dog. We hired off a private lady called June Smith. The caravan was £400 for a week. The pictures looked lovely online but on arrival the caravan was disgusting. The sofa was marked & dirty, the living room door squeaked (which I had to fix myself),... More

Went camping here and I have to say what a fantastic time we had. All the staff were very friendly, the bar staff particularly made us feel very welcome and were full of good spirits. The weather wasn't the best so we spent a lot of time in the bar. The manageress was full of great suggestions for where we... More

Well where do I start! Came for 2 weeks touring caravan holiday. Reception staff very friendly and polite. After this, the place turned sour! Visited the restuarant a couple of times - first time food was brilliant. After this food and service was very slow and food took a downturn. Decided to get a cooked chicken and just buy chips... After reading some bad reviews we were anxious to say the least. But as soon as we arrived at the park we were made very welcome reception staff were lovely. Our static 13 Selkirk sanctuary was immaculate. Bar and restaurant staff very friendly and attentive food is pub grub but nice.We travel abroad frequently and since visiting this park we wont... A fab Camping/Caravan park with great amenities for the kids. Food in the restaurant was pretty good, but they have signs everywhere saying they no longer do battered fish. Makes me think they buy it in Frozen in breadcrumbs. They management couldnt manage a piss up in a brewery, but the staff are amazing. The manageress does not seem to... More

I've just returned from a stay on the touring site with daughter and grandkids. With all it's got going for it this site should be so much better. It feels depressingly uncared for, loads of space but the touring pitches are awful, too close together, very uneven and no attempt made to make the site attractive in any way. The... More
