Had 1 x pint of lager and a half and half shandy + 2 bags of crisps = £9.50! Not much competition or they could not get away with it. The food seemed to be well received, but again maybe at the top end of what one expects to pay price wise. Nice location and ambience.

I have been to this little pub genuinely more times than I could even count!! The food is fantastic, and fresh and delicious (I have literally eaten EVERYTHING on the menu at least once) The staff are friendly and always milling aorund if u need something. During the summer it can get hideously busy but its such a fantastic atmosphere... More

Nice looking pub from the outside and a stunning location overlooking the bay. I would have loved to have sat out with a few pints and watched them play cricket but alas they don't play in November. The bar area was as it should be - real fire etc but I was disappointed in the range of beers that were... More

We just popped in to see if we could get a table for something to eat. Service was very quick and friendly even though the place was really busy both inside and outside. An interesting menu with a selection of starters and mains better than the standard pub fayre. Drinks were on the expensive side but the food was fairly... More

We went along for dinner, which was booked in advance, on a Saturday evening. Seated upstairs, when we arrived there was only one table taken with diners and there must be, easily, a further 12/14 tables. We were seated at a table so cramped that we could barely squeeze in (and we are NOT overweight). I politely asked for another... More

Just returned from a weeks holiday self catering in Earlsferry and we were told that The Ship Inn was a child friendly pub that catered for families, either for drinks or for lunch/dinner. This is just not the case at all. We went into the Inn for a drink and a bar snack with my parents and our 21 month... More

We stayed in the rental flat above the Ship Inn while attending the British Open Golf Championship in St. Andrews. We had clean and tidy accommodations with a view of Elie Bay and ate most of our evening meals in the restaurant. The restaurant staff was very helpful and friendly, with one of the staff even buying an international telephone... More

Just back from a 2 night stay at Rockview, next to the Ship Inn. After reading the reviews on here we were rather apprehensive but we were more than pleasantly surprised. We had room 4 which had a lovely large bathroom with great electric shower, simple furnishings/pictures with character, and an amazing views of Elie bay. We ate in the Ship... More
