This place is a truely beautiful escape, exactly what a timber cottage should be and more....so much more. We love this place and Ravensbourne Chalets will be a permenant booking in our calender, there is just nothing that comes close. The beautiful music and warm fire going when you walk into your Chalet, the wine and breaky basket is Gourmet.... More

My new husband and I stay at ravensbourne for our honeymoon and loved it. It was such a tranquil getaway. The people who own the chalets are amazing and so accommodating. The breakfast baskets were so delicious and such fun. It was a perfect relaxing honeymoon for us.

We've been to the chalets twice now, and each time it has rained... Perfect! Light up the log fire, grab your favourite books, magazines, DVDs and more importantly, your special someone. Listen to the songs of birds long forgotten by the cities, they may even pay you a visit, sip your favourite tipple on the balcony while cooking up a... More

Thank you for coming to stay here again. We always love it when we have guests who return to visit us. The weather last weekend was perfect for the chalets - who would have guessed that in mid February you would enjoy gentle showers of rain occasionally and cooler nights so that you could really enjoy the atmosphere of the... We had a lovely time here disconnecting from it all. The room was great, very private and well equipped for cooking and bbq s. The owners are helpful and approachable but give you all the privacy you need. I would recommend this place to anyone looking to have a restful break.

Thank you for this review. It is always lovely to hear how people have enjoyed the various aspects of staying at Ravensbourne Forest Chalets. Our four distinct seasons make each break away quite unique. Our summer getaways are less humid than the coast and the winter get aways are very popular because of the log fires, spa baths and romantic... More

What a wonderful setting for a relaxing weekend and Irene & Wes the perfect hosts. After following the excellent directions we had been given along with our booking confirmation, we arrived to a very warm, friendly welcome from Irene. We were given maps and brochures about the area and a few ideas about places to visit, where to eat etc,... More

Thank you for this lovely review. We are glad that you enjoyed our natural spring drinking water. (A couple of companies now bottle Ravensbourne spring water and sell it in Brisbane and surrounds as it is so fresh and pure.) We are glad you enjoyed your time here - especially the sounds from the bush etc. We love sharing our... More

Most places have some faults but the Ravensbourne Forest Chalets were perfection. Log fire laid when we arrived, Bottle of wine to choose because we stayed 2 nights, huge range of dvd's to watch, good size spa bath, plenty of towels, reverse cycle air to warm up the cabin quickly if we didn't feel like relaying the fire, Comfortable seats... We stayed in a queen chalet in June & certainly weren't disappointed. The chalet was gorgeous. It was very spacious and romantic, we adored the spa bath and beautiful wooden furniture. Our hosts had thought of everything and the facilities were well appointed. We felt that this was particularly good value for money, as we are on a tight budget... More

We spent 3 nights in our cosy chalet (Cosy once the log fire is in full swing!). The chalets are exactly as shown on the web site, wood panelled, high ceilings, canopied bed & spa bath. Arriving on a cold, wet winters afternoon, we had a warm greeting from Irene (co owner) who gave us the rundown on the property.... More

Lovely cabins that are very well furnished and equipped. Extremely comfortable. Loved the wood burning stove for the chilly evenings as well as the spa tub. Everything so clean. They have thought of everything one might need in the kitchen. Great BBQ on the deck. So quiet and peaceful. Good breakfast hamper as well. Would not bother with dinner hamper... More
