Having stayed with Michael and Irene a couple of years ago, I was looking forward to renewing their acquaintance. I was not disappointed. The location could not be better, the room was delightful, the food was beautiful and a lovely evening slipped past too fast. I cannot speak too highly of Chateau Brinon, and would recommend it to anyone in... More

Irene and Mike were there to welcome us with wine and conversation. We were four in our group (two couples) and stayed four nights. Mike was very helpful giving us places to visit in the area and putting the addresses into our GPS. On our arrival night, Irene made a beautiful leg of lamb dinner for us. On two of... More

We stayed here and took lots of pictures - unfortunately I lost the review that I wrote while there and the pictures so I cannot provide a lot of details. Terrific host and hostess. The ambiance and property are gorgeous.

We spent one night at Chateau Brinon in October. This was the first stop on our route to Perigord and it turned out an excellent beginning of a journey. I had never visited Chateau Brinon before but my wife (we were travelling without kids this time) had passed here several nights three years earlier. For both of us this was... More

After a year off from the bedlam of 'La Motte', my son and I returned this year and of course stayed with Irene and Michael. Charming location, charming people, excellent food, fine wine. Livery just up the road. Friendly village bar a stumble away. And I still haven't visited the grounds. Next year's treat.

The previous reviews regarding Irene and Michael's hospitality were spot on. My 81 year old mother, 18 year old daughter and I stayed for four nights and had a marvelous experience. We had delightful and delicious dinners for three nights and wished we had dined there the fourth night as well but we had made plans to tour the surrounding... More

Once again Michael & Irene have excelled themselves. We really enjoy their company as you can see from my 2 previous reviews. Irene is a great cook (cook hardly seems grand enough for the dishes she prepares) and Michaelis the host with the banter, wit and charm that puts you at ease and makes your stay relaxing. We timed our... More

Historic chateau is charming and very comfortable located in a very lovely setting. But the real treat is the warmth and friendliness of Mike and Irene the owners. The gourmet meals were wonderful. Irene is a fabulous cook. We talked and laughed for hours at the table every evening and morning. They took us to a delightful local festival put... More

I discovered this delightful B&B in the readers' suggestions of the "New York Times" travel section, and I couldn't have found better accommodations! Chateau Brinon proved to be the perfect home base for visiting chateaus and wineries in the Loire Valley. We enjoyed the experience of staying in an authentic chateau, replete with charm. The spacious rooms and the comfortable... More

Mike and Irene are the perfect hosts, prepared to accommodate adults and children with generosity and understanding. The Kir Royales were most welcome after our stressful journey! We had been forced to travel seven hours apart when one of our cars broke down in the UK. Two of the adults and one child arrived after midnight but Mike and Irene... More
