Cheap rooms and dorm beds surrounding a nice courtyard for relaxing or enjoying drinks with your friends. Unfortunately you cannot use the kitchen, but they will cook for you if you bring your own food. The restaurant also offers nice and cheap meals. The hotel is also clean and the international staff is very friendly. However, the staff doesn't really... More

First up, the good. Comfortable, cheap ($5.50) dorm beds. Good WiFi. Clean showers (although without lights, so shower early) and bathrooms. In fact, clean all over. Also, they won't let you cook but are happy to fill your cooking requests if you bring your own food. Now, the not so good. The tour of the volcano is overpriced. $20 for... More

We went many times during our stay on the island, not only is this a quaint little hostel in the middle of town, it's a great meet and greet, with good food, good coffee and great free wifi to boot! Do go when on Isla de Ometepe... Hope this review was helpful!!!

The dorms and food was cheap and really good. Place was very chill. The staff was friendly. The staff was made up of volunteers who work hard to make your experience as comfortable as possible and give back to the environment. The fruits are locally sourced and they even have there own water filtering system to cut down on plastic... More

Its very near the ferry, so its a good option for your first or last day at the island. Food was ok, they rent bikes US$1 per hour (1 out of 5 broke on the way). They show you how to get to Punta Jesus Maria, its an incredible place only 2k from this hostel. Hostel is far from Maderas... More

First I didn't stay here but I met people who did an they were unhappy with rooms and noise levels for both morning and night. I went to eat there on my first night an the house special was not good. But the real reason for the one star is the tour we booked with them. I asked specifically if... More

The perfect place if you want some of that good ol' hippie atmosphere. Sure the place could need some new painting, but that just makes it charming. The rooms are quite basic, what you pay for is what you get, but the patio and the restaurant area are so cozy it is not a problem hanging out there all day.... More

This place is a dirt cheap hostel, good for a night in Moyogalpa. It seems to be run by an old French lady who it seems doesn't realise that the 60's are over, but was friendly and very helpful. We had a private room which was nice, although the pillows were old and the mattresses couldn't be any thinner. The... More

Beautiful property, relaxing patio, very friendly atmosphere. It is the ideal place to meet other travelers and exchange tips about things to do around the country. The staff was very helpful, they arranged a perfect trip for us to the volcano Concepcion, with a excellent guide. Also the food was excellent. After four days I wanted to stay longer, I... More

This place has a really chilled and fun atmosphere, a beautifully decorated bar and courtyard area and a wide range of accommodation options. Our room upstairs was very comfortable and had two fans to keep us cool. I really enjoyed hanging out in the bar during the day and evening - lots of rum flowing and great music choices too.... More

We are a Backpacker-friendly hostel with Bar and Restaurant. Our goal is to provide a great service and friendly environment to everyone who enters Hospedaje Central. To accomplish that::: We have hand-crafted our restaurant's menu, offering a broad range of delicious dishes - from local cuisine to global classics; you're bound to find something you enjoy. (People love our Batidos[smoothies] too):: Our Bar is stocked with the best local liquors and a variety of world favorites as well. If you're not feeling the high-end alcohol, we also have a nice selection of "Cheap and Dirty" brews that won't be too heavy on your wallet. There are also delicious mixed drinks available for those who want to try out the local fruit concoctions. And of course, great music. Whichever type of fun you want, we can help you get there.:: If you aren't into eating, or drinking, we enjoy helping our guests plan their adventures. We have great contacts around the island to help you get what you want. Whether its traveling and making new reservations on Maderas, organizing transport, renting motorcycles or horses, simply giving directions to great beach locations or helping you Trek-Up-The-Ultimate-Volcano: Conception - We can take care of it for you.:: And most of all, if you're just into relaxing, we built an entire hostel around that concept. We have great sitting areas throughout the area, a nice garden under the sun, a reading friendly courtyard, lots of hammocks to swing in, private rooms for secluded time, and dorm rooms for the fun and friendly types. We filled the walls with paintings and culture for you to look at when you don't have a good book, and we're building a small library for you to find that good book afterwards. Overall, its a great place to hang out, people tell us all the time, and we're happy to provide this atmosphere for those who seek it.:: And for those who live on the cloud, we also have THE INTERNET. (free wifi included) We hope this helps you. Enjoy Nicaragua!-Team Hospedaje Central(El Indio Viejo) P.S.
