Enjoyed Sunday lunch here. Well trained, friendly staff. Melt in the mouth roast lamb and good choice of fresh vegetables. Roast potatoes a bit hard on the outside but I'm being picky here. On our "go back to list".

My husband & I went here for a meal on Friday 14/2/14 on our way from Bradford to Goathland. We arrived an hour early to find the pub/restaurant closed. We went to the hotel entrance and were greeted by Gemma, we explained why we were early and asked if we could have a drink. She welcomed us into the hotel... More

Visited Saturday evening and once again had a wonderful meal. Service is excellent and always made most welcome. New menu from last visit but standards still maintained. Very reasonable price considering the quality. Highly recommend.

Perhaps twice a year we have dinner at this excellent inn. There is a choice of a fine eating area or eating in the warm well furnished bar area. We usually select a specific table near a live fire and in a small neat table. Service was excellent and the choice very high standard. Although prices have risen slightly year... More

Yesterday's experience was even better!! From the welcome upon entering to being seated in the lounge for drink orders through the whole meal, the food was excellent and the service was... More

We came here twice for food and were very impressed by the quality of the food and service given. This really one of those places that has atmosphere and great food with the added attraction of being set in tranquil surroundings. The menu is superb and has to savoured by each mouthful of whatever you have chosen. Brilliant!
