This is a wonderful place to stay for a few days in a small French village but still close to St Emilion. Jon and Maureen were excellent hosts and went out of their way to help us plan where to go and what to see and even provided us with a cool bag for picnicking one day. We also had... More

Jon and Maureen were wonderfully gracious hosts for our group of 10, for four 4 days. Maureen's cooking was fantastic, and their knowledge of the region was evident and helped us plan a few unique outings (local wineries, oysters on the coast, exploring St. Emilion). I'd highly recommend this place for a family, a couple, or a group of friends.... More

From the beautiful home to the extraordinary hosts, this B&B is a gem. If you are looking for a home base as you explore this wine region, look no further. We went out of our way based on a recommendation from a B&B friend in Sarlat. So happy we did! Peace, comfort, convenience, delightful countryside, proximity to St. Emillion and... More

Jon and Maureen were the perfect hosts with information about the area, places to see and shop and were absolutely the best in helping us to retrieve a lost camera from a shop in Bordeaux. Many thanks for that help.We stayed in the 2 bedroom cottage and cooked our own meals every evening. The space and the facilities were perfect... More

Jon and Maureen have done an amazing job in bringing this venerable old house up to an extremely high standard which is more than matched by the warmth of their welcome and the deliciousness of the food (absolutely no need to look elsewhere for your evening meal).

We had read all the glowing reviews of Beau Sejour but our stay there surpassed our expectations. We were warmly welcomed by Jon and Maureen, and after settling into our room, we were offered tea and freshly baked squares and/or a glass of rose wine. We enjoyed both! As it was a somewhat, cool, damp day, we had our drinks,... More

I have been reading all the glowing reviews about Beau Sejour and I have to say I feel like something is wrong with me. I found a number of things to complain about – possibly petty ones, but if I am to do an honest review then I have to say my piece. Firstly, Maureen & Jon were very good... More

We were a group of 12 who travelled to Bordeaux to celebrate my 30th birthday. From the very first email to our final breakfast Maureen and Jon could not have done more to make the perfect weekend away and a very memorable birthday. The house has been renovated but has retained its old world charm. All of the rooms (and... More

Beau Sejour is everything you could possibly want in a countryside B&B and more more more! Inside and out, the property is beautifully curated and embodies all the charm of 18th century France without foregoing on any modern amenities. Trust that after a few days in Paris, my husband and I were so pleased and relieved to find a spacious... More

The minute my husband and our friends pulled up at Beau Sejour, I already knew I would be coming back for another visit. The property and home are spectacular, such an amazing hidden gem filled with history. The rooms are large and comfortable and the bathrooms are warm with large showers (a rare treat, especially after spending time in Paris!).... More
