awake on an old British colonial tea plantation with monkeys running around in the yard and colorfully dressed tea workers picking tea leaves on the hill sides. the rooms are well furnished in old colonial style , many in older homes on the plantation. The meals are served in a new well furnished building well designed to fit into the... More

You will love the moment you enter the gates of this property. The drive to your Bunglow will start building expectations. These bunglows are age old (1850s) and yet well maintained, these are made for groups, and mind it you will enjoy this place most when in a group. The lawn outside the Bunglow gives a feel as if its... More

Stayed at Wild Mahseer for a night. We had taken the 4 room Bunglow and possibly it is the worst in terms of layout and space. While the other 3 or 4 Bunglow that they have are having own enclosures and adequate areas to sit out, this Four bedroom one is right on the road and not great in terms... More

We stayed here for one night and we were sorry to leave next day and not able to enjoy the grounds enough. Food was excellent, and the room very comfortable. We did not stay in the Heritage Bungalow but if you can afford it, it is an amazing place.

Most important, we will not call this a hotel. It is a perfect place to relax after travelling long distances en-route upto Tawang/ Bumla Pass. The property is owned by a tea company viz. Mcleod Russel (India) Ltd. We were booked in Heritage Bungalow which used to be occupied by Visiting Agent. We were taken back to the time when... More

I stayed there for 2 nights in their golden tips bungalow with my family. It's a 4 hour drive from guwahati and is a great place to relax and rejuvenate yourself. The host, takes great care that you don't go home dissatisfied. WHEN we complained about the food quality on our 1st night of stay., the manager himself came to... More

A fantastic place to stay, tucked away in a pretty garden. We were perfectly looked after. A must visit while in Assam. A little bit of the " old days " in a modern world. We stayed in the Heritage Bungalow which was beautifully decorated and had wonderful staff. Visits to Nameri Game Park and rafting on the Borelli River were... More

Wild Mahseer was a unique experience and if you are considering visiting Assam in the north east of India well worth doing. Situated in a working tea plantation with the accommodation in the historic tea planters bungalows. Each bungalow is very private and has its own staff. Ours was two bedroom (another couple were in the other) with lounge, sun... More

We stayed at Wild Mahseer as a family in 2013 to celebrate my wife's birthday. It's an old tea garden estate of Britisher's time which was bought and developed by a passionate couple from the area. One can see their heart and soul being put into developing these bungalows to ultimate and intricate taste and standards. It's a home stay... More
