We had to make a booking while on the road and only had cellphone pictures of Palmhof Chalets in Kakamas. The pictures on the websites as well as their brochures are a total misrepresentation of what we received. The rooms were so tiny that we could not unpack all our luggage. The double bed was against a corner with only... More

We stayed for 4 nights. Kakamas is a small town. We were there over the new year and it was quite. We did self catering. There are shops a few hundred meters from the chalet so you can stock up. Augrabies falls national park is not far. The closets big town is Upington which is about 80km away. My niece... More

Beautifull clean, quiet, comfortable units. Well equipped with the bacics. The aircon was a winner, it was really warm when we visited. Beautifull surroundings and close to Augrabies falls. Nice braai area. We can definately reccommend Palmhof.

Palmhof is the right choice if you want to visit Augrabies and surroundings without paying a ridiculous amount of money for accommodation. It lays quite central, close to the main road but far enough from it in order to be quiet. It is clean and neat and offers exactly what you are looking for when on a self-catering trip. We... More

We wanted to stay at pofadder but could not find something suitable. We pushed on to this self catering and was very happy. Secure parking, well run self catering units. Clean, nice kitchenette, DSTV. Augrabies is not to far. Great stop over place

We travelled through Kakamas on our way to the Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park. From Palmhof it was very easy to visit Augrabies Falls National Park, which we enjoyed. The chalets are simple, but more than sufficient. There were 2 rooms with bedspace for 2 each, a kitchenette with regular appliances, a living room with 2 sofas and a tv with a... More
