This is a truly exceptional place which we highly recommend. The location is absolutely perfect for exploring the wine route - close enough but yet not in the crowded villages. The house is beautifully and tastefully decorated, and the room could not be more comfortable. The views from the window are stunning. But beyond that, what makes this place exceptional... More

My husband and I spent two nights here over in late December. We were warmly greeted by Margaret and Philip and given a tour of the house. The property itself was warmly decorated and reminded me of a home (due to the snow, we did not get to experience the patio area so I will not review). They immediately asked... More

If you are visiting the wine route country of Alace, there is only one place to stay and this is it. The beauty of the Vosges foothills combined with the thoughtfulness and attention to detail of the house itself helps make this a truly remarkable location. However, as virtually every reviewer has pointed out, the essence of lovely experience you... More

We loved the causy and warm place but loved more the warm wellcome from margaret & philip. We changed our trip plans and went,by their advice, to see the real highlights of alsace. We regreted to leave but we will come back. Tip:take the "canale" room and go to kayserberg! Our total score is: 110% Hezy and hanny

In early September we made our second visit to La Haute Grange and were just as delighted as on our first visit. Margaret and Philippe are perfect hosts and genuinely care about the experience of their guests. See the comments I made last year regarding the rooms and the breakfasts. Highly recommended.

One week in Alsace - where do you stay? La Haute Grange has to be the answer to any question you want to ask about boutique accommodation in Les Vosges region of Alsace. Firstly, it's geographically sensational. Easy day trips to any part of this amazing wine growing region. A short drive to most of these charming medieval villages; long... More

There are so many choices of where to stay and it is never quite clear what you are getting into. La Haute Grange is perfect if you are looking for peace and quiet but within easy access of good food and other attractions, such as hiking in the "mountains," beautiful villages/towns and the Alsatian wine trail. It is not urban... More

Gorgeous B&B, la Haute Grange, nestled at the base of the Vosges Mountains in Alsace. On arrival we were greeted by the gorgeous vibrant Scottish, multilingual Maggie and her Alsatian French-speaking husband Phillipe. Thrilled that all the Trip advisor research had paid off, and we had hit gold! Divine house and garden, yummy breakfasts, and delightful personalities, we were constantly... More
