We stayed overnight for a funeral in the village, and after the church, the day centred around the King's Arms. It could not have been done better, the food was first class restaurant food, with an impressive open kitchen and immaculate standards. Despite being crowded, service was excellent and energetic, and the bar lively for a Wednesday night. The pub... More

Over the years The Kings Arms has become one of our favourite places to meet friends for supper or lunch as we know that we are going to enjoy a very pleasant meal with good unobtrusive service and a small but interesting wine list. We have enjoyed two visits during the last few weeks, one for supper and one for... More

We booked a meal for my birthday onMonday evening. The safe were very friendly and welcomed us to the pub and said hello to our small dog too. We had a pre-meal drink in the side relax area with a lovely fire burning. We later had what we would say without hesitation was one of the most delightful and delicious... More

We stayed at Kings Arms last weekend as we were attending a wedding at the nearby wonderful North Cadbury Court. On arrival the staff were welcoming, friendly and attentive and helped us to our room with our bags. The room itself was large and bright, with modern décor, the best under-floor heating in the bathroom I have ever experienced and... More

We enjoyed a good lunch at the Kings with my visiting US based aunt, parents, sis and children. Nice pub, good roast beef and coffee, slightly expensive but not too out of kilter. Had to laugh when a green caterpillar crawled out of a salad.....and even more when a spider started moving around in a pool of mango in a... More

We have had lunch here many times and have always been impressed by the quality of the food. This time we stayed for one night so I thought it was about time I wrote a review. Dinner was excellent, I had the Jospered Local Ribeye Steak which was one of the nicest steaks I have eaten, their thrice cooked chips... More

stopped here for an overnight business trip, overall the owners are doing a very nice job, first impressions it was just a country pub, but the insides have been decorated to quite a very high standard. The presentation and taste of the evening meal was first class, they obviously have worked very hard with the chef to create a nice... More

We only went there for a coffee but were welcomed by the two guys behind the bar and were made to feel like we were valued customers. We were offered seats inside or in the courtyard but opted for the 'snug' where we were able to read the local papers whilst enjoying excellent coffee together with a very tasty shortbread... More

We stayed at this hotel for two nights as our friends wedding was nearby. The hotel is very nice and clean and the rooms adequate for our needs. However, there was a problem with our room which made the stay less enjoyable. The room (6 I think) was above the kitchen and from around 7am in the morning until 11pm... More
