This was a last minute booking for the Sligo Races at the start of May. We only stayed one night but will be returning again in July and hopefully later in the year. The staff were excellent in all departments, we had an excellent meal on the Sunday night it was heavenly, breakfast was one of the best we have... More

We stayed for 2 nights bed & breakfast with one evening meal included in the midweek package price, which we thought was good value. The hotel is very tastefully designed and is set in beautiful grounds surrounded by a golf course. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The clientele were mostly the mature set, which we are. The breakfast... More

Spent a weekend recently at the above hotel- castle it certainly is not!! The hotel is rated 4 star!!!!!!!!! Based on accommodation and food, I do not feel it deserves 4 stars! The breakfast was the worst breakfast I have ever had in a hotel. The self service breakfast consisted of sausages (would have been nicer if I had gone... More

Dear Reviewer, Thank you for posting your comments from your recent stay at Castle Dargan Estate. We are not a Castle Hotel however but our 170 acre Estate is located on the town land of Castle Dargan. There are ruins of the Castle dating back to 1600 on the grounds beside Dargan Lake. I feel your statement on our 4... More

We booked in for the romantic break. On arrival the staff were helpful and had us in our room within minutes of arriving. As advertised champagne on ice was in the room waiting for us. The meal which was included on the break was wonderful, we actually thought it was too much but ate it as it was so nice.... More

Was really looking forward to a four star stay in Castle Dargan Hotel, weekend 11th May 2012. Just so glad we were attending a lovely wedding with lovely people so hotel was just some where to put our head's down. First impressions. 1. Nothing about this hotel says Castle, It's like a student campus. 2. With the prices they charge... More

Dear Reviewer, Thank you for taking the time to add your comments on Tip Advisor. We were happy to read that you found the Staff Very Friendly and that the Wedding was Brilliant. We were however saddened to read you did not find other aspects of the hotel where to standard. We always aim to achieve and exceed 4 star... More

Stayed at Castle Dargan hotel on two occasions. The scenery is spectacular. Food, staff and accommodation just wonderful. It is a hidden treasure in Co. Sligo, one of the most beautiful parts of our country.

There were quite a few offers available through Groupon, Lidl, and Supervalu breaks for the Castle Dargan Hotel but we booked our overnight stay through the hotel website which offers excellent all round value. The hotel is located in a lovely area a few miles outside Sligo. Reception staff were very welcoming and we were directed to our spacious, comfortable... More

We celebrated our Wedding at Castle Dargan recently, and had a fantastic experience. From the beginning our experience was very positive, Rosaleen the Wedding Coordinator, couldn't have done anymore in the lead up to the day, nothing was too much trouble and she offered plenty of encouragement in relation to all of our ideas, was always available when needed either...
