Some of the rooms can be small but the hotel is fantastic, there are wonderful views of the sea from the large gardens at the back and the buffet dinner is gorgeous and at a good price. The Pool is small but again with the views. The Hotel is very clean and the staff are friendly. I stayed here two... More

Drove to Dublin arriving early evening to catch a flight the following morning. This hotel is within 10 miles of the airport so decided to book for one night. I asked for a smoking room not holding out much hope but the polite and helpful lady on reception said it was not a problem. Delighted with this outcome I headed... More

Once you have sucessfully negotiated the challenging entrance to this hotel on a staggered crossroads you should not be disappointed. It is externally well maintained and therefore welcoming even from the outside. The reception experience is excellent and in fact all the staff that we encountered were excellent. The hotel is a bit old fashioned in parts eg drapes, pelmets... More

Janette K, Thanks for the review, and taking the time to point out the negative and positive parts of your stay. Apologies that you found the rooms to be slightly dated, while we constantly update the hotel, we like to keep the overall decor Traditional, far away from the new souless Hotels that popped up everywhere! I appreciate the opinion... More

A conference hotel preferred by our company for week long training. Older hotel in a small village between Dublin and Howth. The location is outside of the city and there is nothing around, if you do not like to walk by the sea. There are many golf courses close by and the beautiful and cosy little fishing village of Howth... More

Booked this hotel for a surprise 50ieth birthday celebration for 12 people with a meal after golf at St Anns down the road. The meal of which we were only allowed two choices should have been good but was only good in small places. The plates were freezing cold and there were only two waiters tending us. The whole meal... Comfortable hotel in a great location on the bay. We had a room with a sea view, which enhanced our 2 day Easter stay. Easy access to the Dart and the bus stop into Dublin(No. 31/31B) was just outside the door of the hotel. The staff were friendly. On the down side, service was very slow when ordering food in... I stayed at the Marine Hotel in November 2011. I was impressed by the friendly and welcoming staff - from my initial phone call to book, being greeted on arrival, and throughout my stay. The view of the bay was great. It is easy to walk to the beach. Access to train travel to Dublin city centre is a short... More

Stayed at the Marine in June 2011 for several nights to start and finish our Irish vacation. The staff were fabulous, especially at the front desk. The rooms were very clean and the amenities excellent. Easy access to the city and to Howth.

We have stayed at the Marine on numerous occassions over the last 23yrs and thoroughly recommend it to anyone visiting Dublin. On our last visit we made a big mistake & stayed at the Deerpark Hotel in Howth, there is no comparison between the two hotels and no way should they have the same 3* rating. The staff at the...
