We had a great time at the chateau. The rooms are adorable and the chateau is stunning. I have never seen a pool as crystal clear as this one. We did not have a car, which is doable but not sure I recommend it as the hotel only serves breakfast. One evening we were unable to get a taxi into... More

You can stay in a hotel anytime, but an authentic chateau? I never thought expected such a modern, spacious room could be obtained in a building first constructed in the 17th century. We opened our windows to the fresh air from the grounds and fields across the garden and pond. The town and king's chateau of Amboise is a short... More

Loved our stay, the view from Chambre Bleu was amazing, the pool and breakfast was excellent - perfect start to our trip! The stuffed animals and underground passage through the cellar to the pool really added to the character of the place. And being so close to beautiful Amboise was a bonus.

This is a great property to use as a base for exploring the central Loire Valley, just 5 minutes into Amboise for dinner. The chateau is 500 years old but has all the modern conveniences: good air conditioning, updated bathrooms (with claw foot tubs), Wi-Fi, and flat screen TV. The rooms and the property are clean and maintained. There is... More

Where to begin!! This place is wonderful! We only stayed two nights and wish it was a week. The chateau is restored and beautiful. The grounds are beautiful and the pool is fabulous. PROS: -Location. It was easy to find. Private. It is centrally located in the Loire Valley. One way you get Chambord and the other you have Usse... More

I wrestled with deciding where to base ourselves for 3 days in the Loire Valley, and in hindsight am delighted that we chose Amboise over other locations (e.g. Chinon, Tours). We did drive through Blois on the way here from Paris, and stopped off to see the Chateau de Blois (which is magnificent) and the atmospheric old town, but for... More

We asked for a quiet room & that's what we got. This is a well maintained & clean property set in its own grounds with an outdoor pool. The breakfast was €10 extra per person but it was good value. Excellent base to tour by car all the chateaux gardens & winery's here.

We stayed here for 3 nights with friends. This chateau is beautifully restored and accommodation was excellent. Olivier, the manager was a wonderful host - he could not have done more to make our visit a memorable experience. We only wish we could have stayed longer!

We decided to splurge on a few nights in the Loire valley on our way to Provence. I am so glad that we decided on this chateau, just a few kilometers from Amboise and close to Chenonceau. The chateau is very well appointed, with modern conveniences tastefully adapted to the old building. Our room was the Hector room, and was... More
