Hands down the best place we stayed on our two week trip. We had the Hector room. Beautiful decor, fabulous bathroom, comfortable bed and a great view to wake up to. Olivier was a great help in suggesting restaurants and made reservations for us. The food at the establishments he reccomended was incredible and made for a fantastic visit. Great... More

Our group of 21 bike riders from San Diego Council enjoyed three days at Chateau des Arpentis. We had spectular rooms with high ceilings, canopy beds and big windows overlooking a meadow with two horses grazing peacefully. We enjoyed the living room as a meeting place in the evenings. We relaxed by the swimming in the pool and lounged on... More

This chateau is grand and beautiful. It is just outside of Amboise down a private lane that opens onto a beautiful chateau and grounds. We were in an attic room with fantastic views of the pond. The room was large with a sitting area and desk area. It has a large walk in closet and very large bathroom with separate... More

My kids want to live here! We had a last minute glitch with our reservations at another location and as i had considered a stay here originally, i contacted Chateau des Arpentis. So glad i did. Although we stayed merely one night, it was so rich and full it felt like longer. Olivier, at the front desk speaks english (helps)... More

A fantastic find near the city of Amboise in the center of the Loire Valley. This former chateau about 4 kilometers from the city center is a deluxe and quiet country get away. We stayed for 4 nights in the Catherine suite (all of the 12 rooms are named for members of the owner's family) which was a huge room... More

My husband and I just returned from 3 nights at the chateau. My only wish is that we could have stayed longer. Say...forever? It was everything I was hoping for and more. We requested the Hector room and it didn't disappoint. Huge, elegant with wood beam ceiling, chandelier, king size canopy bed, fireplace (non working but adds charm), claw foot... More

Great experience and we did love our stay here for the peace and quiet aspect. Service wise the host was friendly and professional. Pool area great but other facilities were disappointing, the main lounge area was actually a bit tatty with scruffy couches and the baize on the billiard table appauling. Great bathroom, spacious room with plenty of character, warm... More

We stayed at the Château des Arpentis with family and couldn't have been happier. The rooms, castle itself and grounds were all beautiful and the staff were helpful and courteous. There is also a lovely common room with big open fire, which is perfect for those evenings when it's too cold to sit out on the terrace. The breakfast was... More

What an experience staying in a chateau from the 16th century. This was one of the highlights of our trip to the Loire. We were in the Quentin and Aymeric suite which was enormous . The views of their property were fabulous. Loved the tunnel to the pool ( wasn't sunny enough to swim unfortunately), the billiard room , etc.... More

Very tastefuly refurbished and decorated chateau, in the valley of Loire river, close to the historic city of Amboise. The manager Olivier, is very helpful and kind, without beeing intrusive. Rooms are of high quality, the garden and park wonderful, and the swimming pool clean and enjoyable. Breakfast was rather basic, but that's no big deal. Perfect place to relax... More
