Should you need to go to Penghu, the M hotel (MF hotel or Mongfu hotel) is probably your best choice, but Penghu is not worth the effort. Don´t believe the Lonely Planet, there is hardly anything worthwhile visiting. The LP must have been sponsored by the local tourist board.

The service was excellent.
The hotel staffs can speak good English and inform you where to go, to eat, to see according to your taste and your time.
The room was clean and cosy and the bed really comfortable and soft.
It is close to the main street so it's easy to walk and fine food, drinks, shops,etc
