I stayed in the Lodges recently on a family break. The Lodge was in poor repair. One of the beds was broken, an exterior lock was missing, the carpets were dirty, the towel rails kept falling off the walls, the list goes on. Service in the hotel itself was also poor. When we arrived on a Sunday evening we were... More

We had a family wedding here sat august 30th. The staff were outstanding everyone from bar staff to waiters and waitresses to management so polite , helpful , friendly and attentive nothing seemed a problem. The wedding food was amazing I would definitely recommend this hotel for people getting married. Stunning views.

We were on an Irish roadtrip and had stayed all over Ireland. Aherlow hotel was a great hotel. The rooms are immaculate and elaborate. Service was good, food was lovely and staff were attentive and worked hard. The breakfast in the morning wasn't short of anything. You could have a continental breakfast which was vast or a full Irish. The... More

We have just arrived home after my father's anniversary dinner in Aherlow House and the entire party was extremely disappointed. We have had all family occasions from weddings to christening to confirmations & communions in Aherlow House & have grown accustom to excellent service from the hotel. Unfortunately that can not be said of this visit. The recent change in... More

We attended a wedding here earlier this year and stayed in one of the lodges. The lodges are spacious, with excellent views and are very handy for the hotel. Carpet in the hall and on the stairs was really dirty, perhaps not the best choice of floor covering for this area when people may be coming in with hiking boots... More

We were entertaining clients on a Monday afternoon ,Decided to bring them here as the views would be spectacular ,which did not fail us as it was a lovely sunny evening.BUT that s where it ends .We were all having light bites, how can that go wrong. It did. We had to go to the bar three times to get our... More

We were here a year ago. This year we stayed in the Lodge 27. It was clean and each of the 3 bedrooms were en suite. My room (an upstairs queen) looked straight to the Galtee Mountain range. It was breathtaking! The bed was reasonably comfortable. The kitchen had everything you might need to prepare meals. The bar and restaurant... More

We stayed in one of the lodges for a wedding. The lodge was lovely, very clean, roomy and very comfortable. I was disappointed with the laid back attitude and inattention of the staff in the hotel on the day of the wedding. While everything was laid out and ready there were no staff available telling people where to go when... More

The hotel is situated in a lovely location with lovely views of the Galtee Mountains and nice walks nearby. However the Hotel itself needs to be totally modernised. We found the service for all meals was a disaster. On arrival I ordered a sandwich with tea and my friend ordered a salad. The sandwich & salad arrived but I never... More
