I loved my one night stay here, Mary gave me a very warm welcome and is really suited to her work. She gave us a very early breakfast on Sunday morning as we were walking in a local half marathon. We also ate in the restaurant on Saturday night and we had great food which was excellent value for money.... More

I hardly know where to begin. Ballinacourty House is tucked away in one of the most idyllic settings in all of Ireland, the Glen of Aherlow. It is down a short little lane only big enough for one car but that only adds to the charm. Mary was there, along with her adorable little son, to greet our family and... More

We weren't really sure where the Glen of Aherlow was, and didn't have a lot of info on the Ballinacourty House. We were pleasantly surprised!!! A bit out of the way - a Garmin helps find the place - but it's in a beautiful setting - lush green valley with beautiful mountain views. Mary is a first class host, a... More

I'd never heard of the Glen of Aherlow. My husband booked us the weekend as a surprise. I had no preconceptions, and to be honest, no great expectations. I expected the usual B&B, a room in a family home, and was quite looking forward to it all. I was amazed when we got there. It's not the easiest place to... More

The idea of staying in an 18th century coachhouse in the lovely hills in Tipperary is what drew me to book this Bed and Breakfast and we were not disappointed, requested a room in the original part of the building. Mary the owner was a delight and the property has the advantage of a good restaurant on site, no driving.... More

My wife and I stayed here in 2004 on a round-Ireland trip, and after moving to Ireland 5 years later we vowed we'd go back. It took us 4 years, but though the place had changed in personnel it was (and they were) as friendly and pleasant as before. Stunning location, accessible to excellent walking, a lovely courtyard, excellent meal... More

My mom, a retired school teacher, always told me to say something positive before you offer any criticism. That's easy to do with the Ballinacourty House B&B. The beautiful exterior pictures of this combination Inn, restaurant and campground, reveal a building converted from an ancient stone stable, and don't even do it justice. It's a truly handsome imposing stone structure,... More

My partner and I were stunned by the view from our room! This is a very welcoming B&B, nestled in a beautiful bit of countryside. We arrived a little bit late (delayed by some cows) but were shown to our very comfortable room by a very helpful and attentive staff. We immediately started talking about coming back and doing a... Ballinacourty House stay was only two days, but what a gorgeous area of the country to visit. The B&B has been updated and I had a single room upstairs with plenty of space, wi-fi, armoire, tea prep items and excellent shower and toilet facilities. It was very quiet at this time of the year with only one other couple staying.... More

Hi , I had organized a walking group of friends ( 10 in total ) to stay for 1 night in this amazing B+B, it was an aladins cave :-), we arrived to be greeted by Mary and her staff with fresh coffee / tea and biscuits, shown to our rooms that were spotless, warm and very well appointed and... More
