We had a lovely one night stay here last week & would definitely return. Our welcome from Phil & Debra was warm & we immediately felt relaxed. The bedrooms are beautiful, tastefully decorated to a high standard with original features that added character. During the afternoon we explored the pretty village of Bucknell & walked in the nearby woods which... More

We stayed for two nights with a group of friends. We occupied all five rooms and each room was lovely. The rooms are nicely decorated and spotlessly clean. We ate in the inn each night and the food was wonderful. The weather was good during our stay and we were able to sit on the lovely patio overlooking the hills.... More

We have just got back from a last minute 1 night stay. This beautiful inn is set in the countryside and has stunning views. We received a very warm welcome from Paul and although we were a bit late, they managed to rustle us up a lovely sandwich :) The bedrooms are really nice with lovely little extra special touches... Just returned from a 3 night stay here. This was our first visit to the Baron, and the welcome was second to none. The rooms we're luxurious, with soft towels and such a comfortable bed.The breakfast was cooked to order, using homemade or locally sourced ingredients. We had an evening meal on a couple of nights ,and the food once again was excellent.

Had the pleasure of a one night stay, just wish it could have been longer. Selected room 5 at time of booking and was not disappointed it matched exactly to the description on the internet. A warm and friendly welcome on arrival which didn't finish until our departure. Dined in the Mill restaurant which was lovely, food was perfect. Looking... More

Just returned from a 3 day break at this lovely Inn.My husband and I had a wonderful stay. Our room(no 5)was elegant and we appreciated the little extras: bottled water, biscuits etc. Breakfast was wonderful and my scrambled egg and smoked salmon far too generous but who's complaining!!Our hosts were warm and welcoming and clearly interested in the comfort of... The Baron is a little tricky to find without a satnav but once found it's well worth the visit. We had Room 4, a cosy, well decorated, clean and facility full room overlooking the beer garden. The bathroom was top notch. The hotel is well run with visitor friendly owners and staff, the food is very good and the service... More

This place is a real gem! We stayed 2 nights and will be back again since we enjoyed the place so much. Our room was very comfortable, beautifully furnished and with a well stocked welcome Tray. Especially good were the bars of chocolate - a really nice touch! The bathroom was as good as the bedroom, both spotlessly clean. Our... More

Booked into the Baron to surprise a freind who was staying at the campsite at the pub. The rooms at the Baron are lovely, beautifully furnished, spotlessly clean with a very comfortable bed. Six of us sat down to an evening meal which was just perfect, the staff and service were brilliant. The breakfast was cooked to order and was... More

We had decided to have a weekend away walking with the dogs . I goggled many camping sites in the area and came a cross this pub with campsite ,reading all the reviews I thought it can't be that good but it was. We arrived Thursday night about 8pm I went to register in the pub and booked a table... More
