Arrived to find phone arrangement to honour $80 accommodation voucher a mistake by them, which they acknowledged. Refused to budge on any aspect despite us being the ONLY lodge guests that night. Campsites and cabins had very few there, less than 3. We were only ones at restaurant for dinner and again no other guests appeared for breakfast. Average room... More

Ok. So I read the mixed reviews about the rooms...... We bought a Cudo 3 day package and stayed in room 4 which partially overlooks garden and pool. interior room:depending on your exposure to hotel rooms and taste you could call it "country ambiance" or "floral vomit"?? I thought on the one hand interior thoroughly outdated but on the other... More

My husband and I spent the weekend in Riverside Spa Cabin 2 - we were getting away from people, noise, kids, work etc so fully catered for ourselves. We did not eat at any of the facilities but enjoyed enough kitchen equipment in the cabin to be able to whip up a King Island Steak sandwich with lovely fresh salad,... More

My partner and I were in the resort last weekend. It was as expected looking at the resort website and reading some reviews. The location of the resort was beautiful and I think a perfect place for those who like camping. We stayed in one of the spa boutique rooms. the room was nice and comfortable, but definitely not a... If you love camping and have children aged 10+ who are competent swimmers then you will really enjoy it. I love the countryside but camping is not my idea of a holiday which is why we stayed in the Resort - I think MOTEL is a more accurate way of describing it. After walking from one end of the main... Recently spent, along with five other couples, 3 days at Riverwood and we all agreed that it was a very enjoyable break. Sure, the rooms could do with an upgrade but were comfortable and clean. The location was exceptional with wonderful scenery, the cool and shady river and walks to suit everyone regardless of age and fitness level. The restaurant... More

While Riverwood Downs isn't your expected 4.5 star resort it is nonetheless a very pleasant place to stay and even better, it's pet friendly. My wife, myself and our little dog had a weekend at Riverwood Downs in a Boutique room. Although the room at first seemed a little dated (and it was) it was clean, very comfortable and pleasant.... Went here for New Years , ordered cheese platter on arrival , didn't get it , followed up 3 times over the next 2 days , still didn't get it . Bedspread is scratchy , and tiny cups for tea & coffee making annoying . Breakfast was good , aircon was good . Service was slow for dinner , bit... More

This was our second visit to Riverwood Downs, having stayed their previously some 12 years ago. When we saw a Scoopon deal we jumped at it. It's a lovely place with very friendly and helpful staff but sadly a bit run down. On the positive side is the glorious countryside, great breakfasts in the restaurant, accommodating staff and the chance... More

We had a very relaxing stay in one of the cabins at Riverwood Downs during off season. It was the perfect place for us to find some tranquility and also some good bush walks around the Barrington Tops. With hardly anyone else staying there we had amazing wildlife and enjoyed that very much. Some of the crockery etc would need... More
