We stayed at this campground back in October, tent-camping for the weekend. We had read up on t he reviews on here pretty well before booking. We did not have any encounters with either snakes or flooding, like some of the reviewers on here posted. That doesn't mean to say these issues don't exist, we just didn't encounter either -... Last March, a few buddies of mine and I stayed here for a spring break trip for four nights. We stayed on the B loop (which is primarily for tents) in spot number “one”, which was about a minutes’ walk to the restrooms and a five minute walk to the Gulf Coast beach. The restrooms were relatively clean for a... More

We stayed at the Ft. Pickens National Park Campground. Really nice quiet place at least 8 miles from the nearest civilization. This campground is on the beach and has 50 amp electric to the sites plus water. No sewer but they have dump station. There are two camping areas or loops. Seems like the sites were longer in the “Loop... More

My fiance and I, his mother, and four of her friends stayed on two campsites for four nights, here at Fort Pickens, to see the Blue Angels homecoming air show. What a great place to stay! We have camped at multiple sites around the southeast, and really enjoyed this site. We were tent camping, and stayed on the "D Loop",... More

We have camped here thousands of times as we live right across the bay from here. We have loved it every time. We have never had any complaints. Some if the reviews in this sight are frankly baffling. Snakes in a swamp? Really? If you don't want to see snakes at a campground, although we never have, camp at an... More

Full Disclosure: I am a local and consider this area my home. While I love every part of our beautiful country, my heart remains with the Gulf of Mexico. So, if you think my review is biased I understand. My husband and I travel extensively throughout the United States and as I have pointed out in other post, there are... More

We took a few days to take our family in the motor coach & to take our Airman somewhere warmer than North Dakota. We ended up at Fort Pickens - 6 Chilly but Beautiful! Ease of a quick walk to the beach front & touring the Fort. Plus - no fishing license needed to fish off the pier by the... More

The beauty of the setting for the campground can not be surpassed. Located across the bay from Pensacola, Fort Pickens is part of the National Seashore. The white sand and Caribbean-like water is beautiful beyond description. We stayed in campground A, site 3 in October. Our only complaint was the lack of shade during most of the day. The bathroom... Love. Love, love this campground! This was our third trip, this time we brought several friends. Beaches, history, bicycling, and campfires cooking. Tent camping rocks! We can't wait to come back next spring.

I love Ft Pickens and just came back from 4 days and 3 nights and I concur with some of the previous comments about lack of privacy. However all the camp sites were very clean but the bath houses were sickening. We just got our first pop up and we love it but this introduced a definite down side. There's... More
