It is my second time at small Swiss as I had a good experience the first time. I choose this place again for the comfortable and cosy accommodation that is well kept by David's wife. Meals and guide all provided. Do not need to worry and David ensures that all of us are well fed. He is knowledgeable. Would definitely... More

From TA reviews, we decided on Small Swiss as David covers all our needs ie transportation, meals n guide. We left all the planning and guide... More

David pick my family of 4 from Sun Moon Lake. Took us to an excellent meal in Chiayi and then to the minsu. View from our room (sunglow) is fantastic. David was also our tour guide for the next 2 days. Went to Yushan and Fenchihu and Alishan. Good local knowledge and good food recommendation. Very patient as my two... More

Stayed at Small Swiss end Oct and engaged Mrs Xu's tour services with David's recommendation. This is my first time to Alishan and I am really happy that I chose the right place to stay. The view was just superb, when you wake up to the view of tea plantations and beautiful sky and mountains. It was a really comfortable... More

Our tour guide Charlie and his wife were very entertaining and enthusiastic throughout the whole trip. He would explain in English so we could understand better as our chinese level weren't that great. They fetch us at the train station when we reached Chiayi and brought us for lunch and a few great locations before heading to their homestay which... More

This is my family first trip to Taiwan and Alishan and David level of service is just wonderful. Patient and never rushing, he clearly understand the need of my mum who cannot walk very fast. He never said a word to hurry or speed up but instead encourages by saying the lunch taste better after a long walk along the... More

This is my 2nd time on alishan. During the first, we only went to the alishan top which was good, nice long treks with good weather, historical information about Japanese usage of the area and just wow at the super old trees. However, at the mountain top it lacked good view, you would expect to have a view, one over... More

Situated at 1500m above sea level, this place has an astonishing view of the plantation and valleys. If you are lucky, you would be able to catch the sea cloud (云海)from this place. The air is really refreshing. Do remember to bring some warm clothing as temperature can drop to 16 degree Celsius on summer nights. The hosts are very... More

We stayed there during late May and signed up for the 2D2N package. The owners were extremely friendly and hospitable! After knowing that we love to eat mochi, they even bought some famous handmade ones for us to try! They were also very patient in explaining the various plants and their uses, from coffee beans to cypress trees. The view from... More

The owner and hosts of the homestay Charlies, his son, David and daughter in law were extremely hospitable and warm. From the littlest things such as giving us little tips on what we should look out for, eat and do on our tours to giving us personal tours around the tea plantations and tailoring the day tours such that it...
