Our tour guide Charlie and his wife were very entertaining and enthusiastic throughout the whole trip. He would explain in English so we could understand better as our chinese level weren't that great. They fetch us at the train station when we reached Chiayi and brought us for lunch and a few great locations before heading to their homestay which... More

This is my family first trip to Taiwan and Alishan and David level of service is just wonderful. Patient and never rushing, he clearly understand the need of my mum who cannot walk very fast. He never said a word to hurry or speed up but instead encourages by saying the lunch taste better after a long walk along the... More

This is my 2nd time on alishan. During the first, we only went to the alishan top which was good, nice long treks with good weather, historical information about Japanese usage of the area and just wow at the super old trees. However, at the mountain top it lacked good view, you would expect to have a view, one over... More

Situated at 1500m above sea level, this place has an astonishing view of the plantation and valleys. If you are lucky, you would be able to catch the sea cloud (云海)from this place. The air is really refreshing. Do remember to bring some warm clothing as temperature can drop to 16 degree Celsius on summer nights. The hosts are very... More

We stayed there during late May and signed up for the 2D2N package. The owners were extremely friendly and hospitable! After knowing that we love to eat mochi, they even bought some famous handmade ones for us to try! They were also very patient in explaining the various plants and their uses, from coffee beans to cypress trees. The view from... More

The owner and hosts of the homestay Charlies, his son, David and daughter in law were extremely hospitable and warm. From the littlest things such as giving us little tips on what we should look out for, eat and do on our tours to giving us personal tours around the tea plantations and tailoring the day tours such that it... David and his wife have kept the place really neat and clean! It felt like home and most importantly the views were mesmerising! I got the transportation plus stay package, but still David made it a point to explain and share interesting facts about Alishan. He is also a very careful driver, which made the whole experience enjoyable.

My family and I stayed there in the last week of 2013. We had arranged for a pick up at our previous hotel and they were right on time. There is an extra fee charged for this and I'm not sure if they will always be able to provide it but the cost was worth it. They brought us straight... More
