Does not worth the price. Room was dirty (especially the bathroom, walls , shower full of mold). Only good point, Very easy to find behind the tourist information office. Though the staff was friendly helpful , english speaking and available.

The location is great, connecting to the bus stops and train stations via the staircase next to the Tourist Center. However, at the altitude of over 2,000 m, do walk slowly up the stairs. Slight breath shortness is normal. The bed is equipped with an electronic blanket and central heating will be on if the temperature is below 7 degrees.... More

There is a need to renovate this place as the rooms. The plaster ceiling is about to fall off anytime. There isn't any exhaust fan in the toilet. Toilet and room not clean. Dust in the room and the windows as well.

Not sure if this should be called a "hotel". Alishan is a recreation area. Thus this is like a resort-style accommodation. Don't expect luxury. It has only 18 rooms spread over 5 floors. There is no lift. So be expected to climb if you're allocated a upper floor room. Have luggage? Good luck. The rooms are rather aged. Makeover long... More

i just love the stay. The room was just recently refurbished and it was really fantastic.I took the classic 4 pax room and the room was exactly like whatever they display in their website. Room was relatively big with 2 super big kig size bed and the best was they have the electric heater underneath it so that you are able... More

1. The room was full of mould, the ceiling, the walls, the door. There was no exhaust fan in the bathroom, which surely contributed to this. 2. We were told not to flush any toilet paper down the toilet. There was a sign to that effect in the bathroom. This is not hygienic at all. 3. The hotel staff repeatedly... More

Stayed in this hotel 3 years ago, and still I remember the extremely cold room, Whenever I am in the room, I am under the duvet, with electric blanket on high! No hot water at the time when I stayed so a quick clean with water taken from the hot water dispenser. Room seems clean and adequate although v small.... More

Stayed for a night and the only thing I find that is good about this place is, the value, I paid about $106 US dollars for 2 rooms a night with breakfast. Guy at the service counter wasn't that friendly at all and seems annoyed when we tried to converse more with him. Rooms are just decent for you stay... More

I was looking for a hotel to stay for my family of 4 in Dec 2010. As it is winter, I need rooms with heater as it's cold. Most B&B don't have heating facilities. Found Dafeng, fits my bill. It also has beds with heater 電毯. Conveniently located behind the visitor centre, short walk to everything, including food, shops. Friendly... More

(I should have written this review a year ago..) I stayed a night at Alishan 20/10/2009 to 21/10/2009, the hotel I stayed with was Dafeng. HOWEVER I am not recommending this hotel to fellow travellers. I have chosen a bad date to travel, the reason - one month ago taichung suffered servred earthquack. There wasnt any public transports going up... More
