When we first arrived at about 6:50pm we were told that we were lucky to have arrived before 7pm as that is when they close reception. However, we could have just found a park and paid in the morning. There were very few people at the Holiday Park so we picked a site that suited us - one that had... More

We just stayed one night in our camper on our way up North and the weather was bad but the owner was very helpful and welcoming. Its a really cute little campsite and would be fun in the summer. It was well maintained. Beautiful views over the harbour.

The park has several units/cabins Our unit was very clean and the beds comfortable the only complaint is that the lack of maintenance due to the park being up for sale There's nothing else there apart from the Museum, which is well worth visiting,

Only an overnight stop so that we could visit the Kauri Museum the next morning. We had a studio and 1 bedroom unit next door to each other, both were equipped with the usual kettle and toaster which was all we needed, and they both had a porch/balcony which would be lovely to use for an 'al fresco' breakfast, or... we stayed here because it was a good stop on a long drive and we wanted to see the Kauri museum (which is completely amazing). Stayed in a cottage - very clean, well equipped, friendly. Beautiful views, peaceful. The host told us to stock up on groceries in Dargaville, which is correct. No local store or eating place other than... More

We spent one night on a powered site. Everything was very clean and the pool was a welcome treat. The park is very close to the Kauri museum, very worth a visit. The showers were clean but may get crowded when the park is full. The owners are very easygoing and if you need the basics, such as milk, then you can buy... More

We stopped on a powered site for one night. The amenities although not massive, were extremely clean. The kitchen and dining area, which is pretty big, had all the equipment you needed, with very homely pleasant surroundings. The black cat that comes for a chat is very friendly. This park is very close to the Kauri Museum, within easy walking... More

Motel unit was perfect for us. Clean, sunny, private, quiet. All amenities included in full kitchen. Loved our own backyard with outdoor seat to soak up the sunshine and watch the farm animals overlooking the view of the Harbour. Owner Kevin was helpful and trusting leaving key out for us for late check in which was lovely having come from... More

We ended up staying two nights here instead of the initial one night, just because it was nice, quiet and in beautiful surroundings. The communal kitchen is great, and has everything you need. A great playground for kids and within walking distance to the Kauri Museum! Definitely worth the money!

A quiet peaceful setting - hard surface for winter campervanning. Lovely view of estuary in morning and moonlight. Close to wonderful Kauri Museum and cafes. We were most impressed with the kitchen and lounge facilities with a full range of cleaning materials, pots and pans as well as a friendly black cat that made us feel very welcome, sitting on...
