The hosts are Linda and Guy. Got to know them in no time. They are very friendly and cater to every need. Their local knowledge is excellent and we were well directed to the major tourist attractions during our three day stay. Linda is a fantastic cook and we took advantage of her offer to do meals and food plates.... More

Thank you Robyn & Alan for your very flattering review. It was a pleasure to have people like yourselves stay 3 days and we enjoyed our interesting conversations together. I'm glad you both enjoyed my evening home cooking as in the winter weather one doesn't always feel like driving 20 minutes for a meal. Guy & I appreciate you taking... More

The B&B is 2 hours drive from Auckland. So it's a nice place to drop off after a long flight from Europe before heading North. Of course, it should be also a nice place for your last night in NZ before going back home I was warmly welcomed by Linda and Guy who are delightful hosts. The view of rolling... More

We chose the location as it was only a couple of hours from Auckland and we were leaving for the UK the following evening. What an interesting stay due to Guy and Linda's backgrounds of Maori culture, French living and the most amazing chair creations we have ever seen. So much for an early night! We munched our way through... More

We stayed with Linda and Guy in late January and have such happy memories of this delightful B & B. They are such welcoming hosts and we loved the ambience and the superb views over the rolling hills. Linda has worked wonders with her garden, planting native trees and pretty flowers. Guy showed us the workshop where he creates some... More

Hello Sally, I try to give guests food that is not sprayed and homegrown whenever possible so I am glad you appreciated my simple cooking. We have thousands more native trees to plant and it is a rewarding challenge. Guy thanks you for your compliments on his work and we appreciate your kind review. Regards, Linda More

What a delightful stay in the countryside not far from the Kauri Museum in Matakohe. Linda and Guy are a welcoming couple to their charming B&B overlooking the rolling hills where they have planted many native trees and have a flower garden. After a full day of driving and enjoying the Kauri Museum, Linda’s Mediterranean dinner definitely was a relaxing... More

Linda and Guy are the perfect hosts. Entertaining and informative. By far the most enjoyable accomodation we stayed in during our three week trip from Glasgow. Lovely rooms, antique French furniture and Guy's own arthouse chairs - a tour of his workshop was fascinating - Linda's cooking and the scenery couldn't be surpassed.

Unfortunately we could only stay for one night. But it was just excellent. We enjoyed the delicious platter in a beautiful surrounding in pleasant company with two other Kiwi guests from Auckland and our friendly hosts Linda and Guy. It's a very nice, well-kept, very clean and solitary accomodation we can recommend to everybody. A good place to relax... so... More

We are pleased to know you enjoyed your stay with us and the evening platter. Guests often don't feel like the drive to local restaurants so the platter has become very popular. It certainly is very peaceful in our rural surroundings and very relaxing. Thank you for your review. Regards, Linda More

We stayed at Petite Provence on 9 January 2014. We received incredibly warm hospitality, enjoyed fantastic home cooking (of restaurant standard) and stimulating conversation, all set in a truly peaceful country environment with sweeping valley views and glimpses of Kaipara Harbour. The extra treat was co-owner, Guy Bucchi's extraordinary art-inspired furniture. To de-stress in a genuinely warm, clean and comfortable... More

We spent a lovely evening enjoying Linda's Mediterranean style cooking, Guy's fascinating metal and kauri wood chairs and workshop, and their beautiful, vey comfortable B & B. This is a great stopping place before or after a visit to the Kauri Museum, which you definitely should not miss.

We had a very enjoyable evening, interesting conversation and in good company. I often inform guests that we also sleep in the house, not in another building.True B & B's welcome visitors to share their family home. Thanks, Linda More
