My partner and I had a really lovely stay in this beautiful and friendly B&B. Close to the sea, and some lovely local pubs for a cider or two. The breakfast - home-reared sausages, bacon and freshly laid eggs was delicious. A warm welcome, and a great place to explore the Hartland peninsula.

We had just walked 11.5 miles along the SW coastal footpath from Clovelly and were very tired. Anna's cheerful welcome raised our spirits immediately. Nothing was too much trouble for her. She even helped my husband search for local physios the next morning and insisted he used her landline phone. Anna's calm and unflustered approach was much admired, especially when... More

Staying just 2 nights in this delightful B & B was such a fantastic experience. Comfort, food and the general atmosphere was heaven. Anna Dart and her family are such great people it’s a wrench to move on. For me Coastguard Cottages started out as just a good place to split a very tough section of the SWCP into two... More

My wife and I flew to England from Switzerland to walk the South West Coast Path. This B&B is in a really lovely village with a superb Norman church and manor house (Anitques Roadshow was due to film on the weekend of the 7th July). The hospitality was terrific for 2 weary walkers and she even washed and dried our... More

This B&B is a short walk from the SW Coast path (c. 8 mins) but it is a great place to stay. We had a lovely room, very quiet, very comfortable beds. The owner was extremely helpful. She offered an evening meal which was great, really enjoyable and served in a lovely dining room. We didn't ask for wine but... More

We have just returned from 4 nights walking part of the South Coast path, this has become an annual event between Christmas and new year. Our hosts this year were Anna and Johnny who made us feel so very welcome. The relaxed and friendly atmosphere coupled with fabulous home cooked and produced breakfast and mouth watering evening meals provided us... More

We planned to stay over one night, but stayed for two (due to helicopter at Hatlard Point being grounded) but we were very happy to go back for a second night. The property is lovely situated just 1/2 mile or so from Hartland Quay, decorated in country french chic, rooms were very comfortable and everything that you could desire from... More

Anna, Johnny and their young family offer a warm, friendly and enthusiastic but unobtrusive welcome to their cottage B and B. We were only sorry that our stay in August was so brief : an overnight stop during our walk along this stunning stretch of the South West coast path. This was one of the best nights we have had...
