The campground accommodates a large number of people quite well. Plenty of available drinking water. reasonably well maintained bathrooms. Wildlife walks through and you'll see more if you're on the periphery (as I was). Stay away from the group camping area as it can be noisy--there was some obnoxious prep school there during my stay and their chaperones were clearly... More

The bathrooms are clean, the camping areas are well kept, and the rangers are on top of noisy people. Depending on where you're located in the campground, the walking distance to the free shuttles isn't very far and the visitors center is right by the entrance! The river is also walking distance from the camp sites. Zion no longer sells... More

Great location, convenient to everything. You can drive in and out quickly to the town outside the park in order to eat, and you can easily walk to the shuttle site to get around inside the park. The bathrooms were clean and well-stocked. I was at a walk-in site, and in case you are nervous about the "walk-in" part -... More

Zion park is the most fabulous of the national parks and camping in the park helps you become one with the fabulous scenery. there is only electric hookup or tent camping but it's worth it to be inside the park. very reasonably priced but you have to make reservations far in advance. the riverside spots are worth the extra couple... We stayed at Watchman campgound for 3 nights in a pop up camper. We had a site with electric hook up. When we were cold at night and in the early morning we were able to turn on the heat. It warms up by 10 am. I was very impressed with how clean and up to date the bathrooms were.... More

We camped at Watchman Campground in Zion National Park in June 2014. We are avid rustic campers in Michigan, and really looked forward to the experience. First, South and Watchman are both busy. We wanted to stay at South based on Internet comments but it is first come first served, so we reserved online at Watchman just to be sure.... More

I checked the weather 3 days before arriving. I did not think 55/60 at night would be so bad. I was wrong. We wanted to sleep with the top off the tent to view the stars and we froze. The next night was much better. Keep the cover on the tent was the lesson we took away, and extra thick... More

Zion is an amazingly beautiful place, and the campgrounds had amazing views from practically every direction. We were just a few yards from the river and a short walk to the shuttle stop. Easy access to the hiking trails and the nearby town. I did have a few criticisms That could have been resolved. We were given the campsite 53a,... More

We stayed in Watchman for three nights in our pop up. It was a gorgeous location right by the river. right on the trail. Walking distance from the visitors center. Every direction we looked we were surrounded by what Zion is known for- huge red rock cliffs. It was so quiet- really a peaceful place to stay. We went to... More

Forget the fact there are no showers this is a simple campground in an astounding location! Woke up every morning to the towering peaks and families of deer. Great ranger activities and easy access to the town of Springdale to keep you entertained at evening.
