After our great luck the previous day finding a site at the organised Watchman campground we had to move the following day to this campground (as its First Come First Serve), we were shocked at the difference. Here there is none of the even level well organised sites. The sites are a hotch potch of sizes and their is no... More

This camp is really well organised. It is also located right near the swimming hole where we spent hours enjoying the cooling water and looking out to the view of the canyon. Zion is easy access by the shuttle (summer only) from here and it is an easy walk to the visitors centre from camp too. There are a few... More

This campground is in a wonderful location just inside the entrance to the park. There is a shallow, sandy bottomed, lazy river that runs along the side that is perfect for cooling off after a hot day of hiking & the shuttle buses stop within walking distance. I'd recommend getting there around 9am if you want to find a good... More

We stayed for two nights. The location is great-less than a 5 minute walk to the visitor center and park shuttle. Campsites are visually close because there are few trees and other plants to block your view of your neighbors, but the sites offer plenty of room. We only had one small tent, but there was ample room for multiple... More

We stayed there for 1 night! It is nice because it's right in the park and really close (walking distance) to the shuttles! I loved the fact that fires were allowed! Downside, toilets were not that clean... and no showers. Anyways, make sure to get there early in the morning to make sure you have a spot (I would recommend... More

We arrived here by 10 AM on a Sunday morning. Were able to find a site but not many left. By 11 sign said they were full. I thought sites were a decent size. Sites along river looked beautiful. We took a walk after dinner on trail along river(Pa'rus) which was very nice. Easy to walk over to shuttle -... More

The Zion National Park South Campground is one of the nicest campgrounds I have ever seen in the world! The campground is just on the Virgin River and you have a great view on some red sandstone walls.

I've been to a handful of other national park campgrounds and was disappointed by cramped sardine sites where the snoring you hear might be your spouse or your neighbor a few feet away. However, the South CG at Zion is pretty awesome for a Nat'l park campground. The sunrises and sunsets surrounding the campground are worth the price of admission... More

This camp made the score because of the surrounding towering cliff faces of Zion and wildlife. There are sites closer to a stream which are probably nicer. There is little privacy and most sites are close together. But it's first come first serve and there are tons of deer that wander into camp. I sat both nights having dinner in... More

We have been volunteer campground hosts at Zion South campground since mid-June 2013. This is a first-come first-served campground. There is a nearly 75% turnover of sites every day. It is very important to come early (before 9 am) to find a site. Here are a few tips: find a site with no tag and nothing in the site. Make... More
