We camped here in early May and arrived at around 10.30 am. The sign at the front said full but we drove around anyway and found an empty site ( we might have just been lucky because I didn't see any other sites but it's always worth a look). There are flush toilets but no showers. You can get a... More

We were in the watchman campground for 2 nights and wanted to stay a third but they were full. South is first come first serve so the ranger said to try here. It's an interesting process to get a site but it works. We were told the sites were filled by 8 30 am the prior day so I got... More

My boyfriend and I spent one night here in a mini-RV in May. We'd spent the previous couple of nights doing dispersed camping on Bureau of Land Management (BLM) land, but decided we really wanted to be in the heart of Zion for our last night in the area. The South Campground is "easy" in the sense that it's entirely... More

From the moment you drive into the so called park you know this is not going to be a good experience. The "pavement" that goes around is beat up and needed to be taken out 10 years ago. The so called campsites are dirty small areas that are so close that I saw two campers fighting. I highly suggest camping... More

After our great luck the previous day finding a site at the organised Watchman campground we had to move the following day to this campground (as its First Come First Serve), we were shocked at the difference. Here there is none of the even level well organised sites. The sites are a hotch potch of sizes and their is no... More

This camp is really well organised. It is also located right near the swimming hole where we spent hours enjoying the cooling water and looking out to the view of the canyon. Zion is easy access by the shuttle (summer only) from here and it is an easy walk to the visitors centre from camp too. There are a few... More

This campground is in a wonderful location just inside the entrance to the park. There is a shallow, sandy bottomed, lazy river that runs along the side that is perfect for cooling off after a hot day of hiking & the shuttle buses stop within walking distance. I'd recommend getting there around 9am if you want to find a good... More

We stayed for two nights. The location is great-less than a 5 minute walk to the visitor center and park shuttle. Campsites are visually close because there are few trees and other plants to block your view of your neighbors, but the sites offer plenty of room. We only had one small tent, but there was ample room for multiple... More

We stayed there for 1 night! It is nice because it's right in the park and really close (walking distance) to the shuttles! I loved the fact that fires were allowed! Downside, toilets were not that clean... and no showers. Anyways, make sure to get there early in the morning to make sure you have a spot (I would recommend... More

We arrived here by 10 AM on a Sunday morning. Were able to find a site but not many left. By 11 sign said they were full. I thought sites were a decent size. Sites along river looked beautiful. We took a walk after dinner on trail along river(Pa'rus) which was very nice. Easy to walk over to shuttle -... More
