OK- There is the ZMR and within that property is "The village of many nations". We stayed at VMN. It is a "Native center" where you sleep in tipis and learn about native culture, music, food etc. SOunds nice- right? WRONG. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY.
It costs $110/night. You arrive, they give you a plastic bag filled with a sleeping bag, a pad, a blanket, and a pillow. You drag is to your tipi which is some canvas over some poles- open on the bottom and top. It's 90 degrees and you think, wow, warm in the tipi- we can't lay here, maybe it will cool down at night. lunch costs $15/person extra and its a "buffet" where you are allowed one piece of chicken and some potatoes- they serve. Well it gets down to the 30s at night- you are sleeping on gravel in the tipi. I FROZE! I asked for a second sleeping bag the next day- and the owner/caretaker argued with me and told me I shouldn't be cold!! That they are fully booked and have no extras. I had to argue with... more
