If you love and understand the National Park experience and it's amazing hotels, you will love it here! Our experience was staying in one of the villas. Getting to the hotel was an experience....we were met at the visitor center and taken there by boat. They will help you with all your gear and supplies. We had quite a bit... More

A very nice old charm hotel in middle of Voyageurs National Park. From architecture to ambience to hotel rooms all are in perfect sync and so different from todays mainland big cities that you will fall into love with this gem in this island! Do try their Wild Rice Soup, our NPS Ranger guide suggested that and we loved that.... More

We took the boat tour from the Kabetogama (try to say that one!) National Park Visitor Center to Kettle Falls Hotel. It is a 5.5 hour tour, and quite wonderful. The Park Rangers did a terrific job of narrating and we were able to see at least 12 juvenile and adult eagles and their nests. Also loon and their babies... More

Stayed here in July. Nice staff, good food, but needs a good cleaning. Rooms share a bath and none were cleaned during our stay. Neither was our room or any on our floor. Nice boat ride from the national park dock to the hotel's dock. You can see Kettle falls from the hotel.

There is a fundamental difference between staying at Kettle Falls Hotel and stopping there for lunch, particularly on the two days a week when the National Park boat tour stops for lunch and the small staff can be overwhelmed. Staying there allows you to be transported for a short period into a different and simpler time. We stayed two nights... More

We went on the National Park's Grand Tour from the Kabetogoma Visitors Center, which took us to this hotel and restaurant. The only people they served while we were there at prime lunch time were from the boat. We had walleye sandwiches, with the wild rice soup (recommended on TA). The meal was seriously overpriced, but we thought at least... More

Waited an hour and still did not get served our food. Finally had to leave. Mgr said they were short-handed, yet others who arrived in the restaurant after us were served. The boat tour to reach Kettle Falls is pretty good, although it could be cut down by 2 hours at least. You can only look for so many bald... More

The worst service I've ever had. I came here for lunch with my family and we waited over an hour for our food to arrive but it never came. They had one waitress working, who we took pity on, but there was no organization in the restaurant whatsoever. The people that had arrived after we did got served almost immediately.... More

This family friendly place was a hoot. If you look at my individual scores of this place you may wonder why over all I rated this little Hotel a 4. In short, personality and history. You start with a 30 minute boat ride through beautiful Voyagers national park. A nice change from the 8 hour shuttle we had just taken... More

This trip was a step back in time as we enjoyed our week-stay at Kettle Falls Hotel. Our first night was in the hotel (which we later found out might be haunted ... but we didn't hear any ghosts). Our next three nights were in the lower level of one of the cabins, right by the water! The last three... More
