The Blackberry Festival was a great fun-filled event. The lunch of Blackberry Pulled Pork was very good. There were various craft vendors, musicians, dancers, pony rides, face painting and plenty to keep you busy. We spent one night there and the room was one of the unrefurbished but was very clean. The views were amazing. Now to the NEGATIVE-- The... More

Beautiful place, great views, comfortable rooms, wonderful hiking. All around good time was had by all. We did not manage to ride the horses since we got there too late on the first day and it had rained so much that night the trails were closed. So we went on another hike to see a very nice waterfall. there was... More

Shenandoah is one of natures beauty spots. Spending just a day in the park doesn't do it justice. There is beauty all around you with beautiful vistas and comfortable accommodations. To be able to walk trails, explore nature and see wildlife up close and personal is a treat. There are beautiful vistas at every turn. Skyland's accommodations are a good... More

We stayed at the Raven's Nest at the Skyland Resort. I'll be honest. From the outside, it looked boring and more than a bit drab. But the room itself was really, really clean and beautiful. We had a really top of the line bathroom with lots of amenities and really nice towels. (Skyland is very big on recycling and did... More

Lovely trip to Shenandoah National Park with kids and Dog without having to "rough it". Loads of trails to hike and a soft bed and dinner at a restaurant with to die for views. Only thing that would have improved it would have been easier access to wi-fi (only available in lodge). Rooms for people that have pets have balconies... More

I have always wondered why in all these beautiful US National Parks (I visited them all!) so beautifully kept up and organized by the Rangers, visitors always had to endure lodges where everything was worn out with outrageously expensive bad food. Nothing different here: we took the most expensive type of room: furniture was 30 years old +, TV 10... More

We stayed one night in a preferred room in Raven's Nest lodge on a trip down Skyline Drive. When we saw the room, we were wishing we had stopped hiking a little earlier so we could have enjoyed the room a bit more! This room was much more than we expected in a National Park. Don't get me wrong...we love... More

We wanted to stay along the Sky Line Drive but wasn't sure what to expect. Pulling up you immediately think a throw back to a couple decades earlier, untouched and frozen in time. We enquiring about rooms the lobby is definitely 70s and pictures of the available rooms make you think 70s also. We were skeptical but loved the location.... More

Infrastructure may be a bit old but largely compensated by suberb views and tranquility. Menu in resto needs some update. Room was clean and staff friendly. I would return but first i will try to visit some other nat parks in th the USA

Stayed in a preferred room which had been upgraded. It was spotlessly clean. The only downside was that the great view was shaded by the trees so the sunset could only been seen through the trees. A second floor room would have had a better view. When I asked the receptionist if our room had a good view she assured... More
