The main lodge is nice but the lodge you sleep in is dated, dirty and very dark. The shower did not work. Two windows in the room and on lock was broken off. No tv no internet or service. I wouldn't mind if the price was right. We paid $168.00 for the night and I would rather pay this kind... More

If you are looking for a place to get away from the rat race of daily life, this is it. Located on Skyline Drive, it is an easy stopping place. We were in the Hawksbill Building, which was built in 1946 so it is a little dated and cramped. As an FYI, there is no a/c TV or WiFi in... More

We stayed in the campground and decided to have dinner at the lodge our first night. I ordered the cream of asparagus soup and my friend ordered the chicken wings. There was not a speck of cream in the soup and the only thing that resembled asparagus was the color green. The consistency was like gravy. I can safely say... More

Getting near the end of the day of motorcycle riding on the Parkway during the week and easily got a room at the Lodge! Had drinks and light dinner in the Tap Room at the Lodge as it was too early for the restaurant. Great wait staff and good food. Lots of fun drinks to try. Loved our room and... More

We've stayed at Big Meadows frequently over the years and enjoyed every visit. If you are in search of a quiet calming getaway you will find it here. The Lodge restaurant offers breakfast, lunch and dinner-all excellent at mid-range prices. There is also a family-friendly snack bar/bar in the basement that offers local entertainment. The overall condition of the rooms... More

Centrally located on the scenic drive through Shenandoah Park; on the Appalachian Trail and many other trails nearby; nice property and friendly staff. Great weather during our visit, saw bears and plenty of deer during our daily hikes. Nightly Live entertainment in the bar; good value drinks.

Food is good fare but service is slow. Rooms are from mid 20th century but kind of fits in with the nature lodge feel. Front desk people are exceptional. No extra charge for the bears and deer that you see on the hikes. Its a bit dated but the best way to see and feel Shenandoah National Park. Interesting music... More

Great place to get away into the woods. Rooms don't have TV or wifi, and the Appalachian Trail and other park trails are nearby. Deer will visit in the morning and at dusk. But BML also has a dining room, tap room, and a great room with views, plus it's a 20-minute walk to the park visitor center at Big... More

The Lodge is well kept up. The people at the front desk are very friendly and helpful. The dinning area serves a variety a good breakfeast entrees. The Omelets are terrific. I would strongly recommend trying an Omelet . The lunch and diner menu is kind of limited and over priced You can't beat the scenery surrounding the Big Meadow... More
