Went with my spouse, our 3yo daughter, and our German shepherd. We had a fabulous "glamping" trip (glamorous/glorified camping). Enjoyed cooking all our meals outdoors, brought a small fridge to keep food and bevies cold over 3 nights. Hot shower and heater were great as it was still pretty chilly especially in the mornings. Loved the rustic simplicity of the... More

We stayed at the campground next to the cabin. Like many national park campgrounds, this is dry camping. There is a dump station at nearby at Big Meadow that is available 24 hours. It has both rinse water and potable water. Water is available at Lewis Mountain. Like most parks, generators can be used until about 7PM but then are... More

Amazing place; basic but great cabins - just as they were seventy years ago (excpt maybe for the light bulbs and plumbing). Cooking on charcoal - burnt the bacon several times! Nothing but darkness and silence at night. Cannot do much but relax - and that is this place's charm - and it's staff. Great team, amazingly knowledgeable, and super... More

Travelled from the UK so had to improvise with some cheap Walmart purchases but had the BEST time staying here. Buy an electric kettle for $8 and coals for the fire and nothing is off limits ! Usually if we have time we take an RV tour but we were limited on time due to family commitments and so booked... More

We stayed in cabin number 7 for 2 nights and we had the best time! The cabins are great and so cosy! The surrounding area is gorgeous. We loved sitting out at night cooking our food or sitting on the porch watching the sun go down with a couple of beers. If you forget anything like food or cooking equipment,... More

We stayed 4 nights here , there was a little ingenuity needed as we could not bring much in the way of utensils, cutlery etc as travelling by air from Uk, but with a few small cheap purchases from Walmart we managed fine, breakfast was more if a problem but ate at Big meadows once and had Bbq's on the... Stayed in double cabin 11/12, quick walk to the store, very convenient. Cabin was a little musty, but clean, We opened the windows and that took care of that. Double beds were shockingly comfortable (I heard they were new mattresses). The cabins also have heat, electricity and toilet and shower. I'm too old not to sleep comfortably. Fire pit outside... This is the place if you want to be away from the crowds and want quiet. Stayed in a cabin. The people operating the store, who also rent the cabins, were very nice! The bathroom was a bit small but I would go back and highly recommend this place!

Stayed in cabin #7. Very clean, nice porch with a roof over it with a picnic table underneath. A nice fire pit for grillng on, and a small porch with two chairs. It was very clean, and in a nice quiet area. Great to be away from the crowds of other resorts, as really only those staying in the cabins... More

My boyfriend and I recently stayed in Cabin #7 for two nights. It was perfect for what we wanted; A clean, warm place to sleep, with a private bathroom including shower, located in the woods. It seems that all "single cabins" are actually attached. (ex 7 & 8 are single cabins within one structure) Each unit has its own entrance,... More
