My boyfriend and I decided to stop at Lewis Mountain Cabins for one night en route to North Carolina. What a fantastic place!! Very simple cabins but with wonderful rustic charm!!! Back of the house has a fire pit for grilling with a picnic table. The main office has everything you need from fire wood to beer to snacks. Randy... More

My Wife & I had a great Time, although I had got sick and left a day early, but the Staff was Great and the Accommodations were awesome. The Cabins are quaint and well worth the money. We loved being able to cook outdoors and enjoy the wildlife.

Rooms are kept clean but have large amounts of spiders and mice. Expect to be woken up around 3:00 am by the mice. They are especially loud given their size. However, It's still better than a tent since you have a bathroom with hot water. The location is perfect if you are hiking. The majority of better trails are in... More

We enjoyed our three night stay there. We rented the cabins which had a queen size bed, clean sheets, clean towels and clean bathrwoom, an enclosed patio with grill, picnic bench and bear proof closet.

Just great! Small and intimate, each historic cabin has a deck with chairs, fire pit and picnic tables. But at night you get to sleep in a comfy bed, shower and towels. You can hear birds chirping all the time, and get free coffee in the morning at the camp store. Randy, the manager, goes out of his way to... More

What a great find on Skyline Drive! We've visited 3 times and will definitely be back. Beautiful, quiet, very friendly, accommodating staff - our kids and dog love this place. What a great contrast from Northern VA/D.C. The military rate makes this a must go destination for our family time and again.

It's very rustic but cabins are comfortable, clean and tidy. There's a shelter where you can eat or just read if the weather isn't great. The AT trail is right behind the cabins so you can jump on the trail for a hike without having to get in your car. But by far my favorite thing was that it's a... More

Besides the beauty surrounding us, Randy. Randy, the manager, is a great fountain of knowledge. He knows every local attraction and several ways to get there. He's friendly and greets you with a smile and a funnyg story. The first 2 days rained and the weather forcast said more of the same. Randy kept us upbeat. The weather cleared and... More

A rustic visit to Shenandoah National Park - unplugged with only the sounds of nature to provide music to your ears. Great accommodations that make you feel you have gone back in time to an age without wifi or TV (none here!). So serene that a Robin made a nest in our picnic area and allowed us to watch her... Very nice comforts of a cabin without camping. Outdoor cooking. The heater worked well cabin was tidy and clean. Randy the camp manager was very informative about the area. Will return again in the fall.
