Great to have a camping experience but still have a comfortable bedroom to be in. The outside patio with grill and fire pit was so relaxing and fun. Being able to go to ranger talks and hike right from the site was wonderful. Everyone was very nice. A wonderful rustic getaway!

We stayed in June 2014 for our (rustic) honeymoon. We are from NJ and used to constant noise. The cabin was secluded and it was so relaxing. Deer walked right through camp. The AT ran right behind our cabin. We stayed in cabin #11 I think. It had lights on the covered patio. I brought a huge cooler and cooked... More

If you are looking for a lovely step up from camping, this is the place for you. Comfortable beds, warm private shower and no frills. Fire pit in the back with a patio for eating and hanging out by the fire. Very quiet, great location, we were able to walk to a path to the AT from our cabin. Ranger... More

Initially we looked online on the NPS website to reserve a camping site but it stated the only ones left were on a "first come first served" basis. We drove from Arlington towards the park. Initially we had issues using the regular car GPS finding a good location but we ended up using the recommended GPS coordinates on the website... More

Very rustic and simple but just right for a little more comfort than a tent. We brought own coffee maker, cooler and sandwich items. You can cook on the grill behind the cabin. Nice quiet stay without a tv and cell phone connection. Enjoyed the Park ranger program.

The cabins are great for campers who don't like tents anymore. We enjoy the atmosphere of the campground but prefer to sleep in a bed. Lewis Mountain is perfect for us. We can't wait for our next visit.

The cabin covered all our basic requirements....bed and bath! The cabin itself was clean and the beds were comfy. We enjoyed the luxury of sleeping in a cabin but still "camp cooking" as we usually tent camp. Enjoyed the visitors -bear, deer and fireflies! Definitely return for more cabin camping and waterfall hikes!

It was steamy in the valley but pleasantly cool at the cabins. This is a wonderful place to get away from it all. Beds were fine. We shared a bathroom with our friends in the other half of the cabin. Because there are no refrigerators or stoves in the cabins, this takes some planning. We brought camp stoves to do... More

The cabins are a bit rustic, but cover all basic necessities. Good shower and clean bathroom. There is a heating system which we didn't use. Excellent dining available at the Big Meadow Lodge about 7 miles away. We used the Tap Room at that Lodge for a light dinner and went back next morning for breakfast at the restaurant. Both... More

It was very rainy with thunder storms so we couldn't build a fire or see the area...had to stay indoors (wind & lightening also)...got some rest, ate a cold supper, no tv, no fridge, no microwave, had to park away from cabin (a duplex unit) and carry our stuff a little way
