The mattress is old and very uncomfortable. The box spring is brown from age. Noise from the mice in the attic space above kept us up most of the night. I think I would have rather slept in a tent. The outdoor area is wonderful and it is a beautiful setting.

If you're looking for a clean and rustic cabin experience, then Lewis Mountain Cabins in Shenandoah National Park is the place for you! Staff is friendly and helpful. The cabins are also just steps away from the Appalachian Trail. You can grill outside on a small fire pit, but you should have experience with starting fires in a fire pit.... More

Clean and rustic wooden cabins (duplex style) with hot showers, large closets and beautiful wood furniture and large fluffy bed. Each room has its own balcony with chairs in front and its own cement slab with roof and picnic table and fire pit/grill. Store on site sells anything you may need (including beer). Nice adjacent campground and picnic area. Close... More

Extremely friendly staff. Complimentary Coffee in the middle of deep forest. Wildlife encounter possible. The cabins were clean and well maintained. The linens were clean as well. Will definitely visit again.

We just did an "inn to inn" backpacking trip on the Appalachian Trail in Shenandoah. We started at Lewis Mountain Cabins. We had arrived later than planned - after 6:30pm. The camp store closes at 6pm, which is where the office is. You have to ring the bell for service. Randy greeted us and was very friendly and informative. He... More

Friendly staff and cute cabin in the wild, however the strutture was outdated (door lock wasnt working) and not clean at all: we found lots of hair in the shower and spider nets all over the place. Needs better maintance for what it costs.

I have been visiting Lewis Mt. Cabins at least once a year since 2005. Lewis Mt. is the smallest facility in Shenandoah National Park. It does not have as much traffic and people as other areas, which is what I prefer. Staff is always friendly and helpful.

Sadly only got to stay here a couple of nights as part of a big trip from the UK, and wished we could have had longer. The cabins are rustic, but in a good way and ours was really clean. The location is great and Randy, who seems to run the camp shop couldn't have been more helpful. We arrived... More

Spent 3 nights at Lewes Mountain. Cabins. Scenery is beautiful! AT right behind cabins. Camp store with food, drinks, and camping supplies. Randy is so helpful! What a great employee! Cabins are rustic. If you want TV and AC try accommodations at Skyland or Big Meadows!

My husband and I had a great weekend at the Lewis Mountain Cabins in Shenandoah National Park. We stayed in Cabin 4. It was a private room, sharing a wall with 1 other room, with a queen sized bed. Overall, we were very satisfied with the accommodations. The linens and floors could have been a little cleaner, but it's supposed... More
