A terrific place to stay to be close to the parks. We stayed here 3 days in mid-May so not very crowded. I know this has gotten some great reviews so I just want to tell you why I think it's not so awesome. What's Good: -great location -our rate included room & board; included b-fast, lunch & dinner. We... More

My husband and I just spent a delightful stay at Montecito. This perfect location to enjoy the mountains and the forest was an oasis, having delicious meals (buffet style) and comfortable lodging. I particularly appreciated the 24-hour availability of beverages (as well as soup, fruit and cereal), since I am an early riser and cherish a hot cup of coffee... More

We stayed in one of the lovely rustic cabins to celebrate our anniversary. What a wonderful gift to ourselves. We both loved the opportunity to relax and enjoy the beauty of the Sierras. Wonderful food, wonderful friendly and helpful staff we will be back . We met some wonderful people and spent the evening swapping stories in front of the... More

My husband and I stayed here in late April- early May 2012. The service was excellent, staff cheerful and attentive, manager is excellent. Chef is top top top awesome. And he is a really nice guy who loves to see people enjoy the food he prepares. The views are unbelievable and breathtaking. The walking trails are beautiful. The room was... More

We had a great time at your lodge. Staff was friendly and the food was great. Especially loved the beautiful grounds. Was so nice to wake up, look out the window and see the trees reflection on the lake. Felt like paradise. The smores around the campfire was a nice touch, along with the guitar music. Especially loved the archery... More

We spent two nights at Montecito lodge beginning of may 2012 and have been completely satisfied with rooms, food and service. Not to forget: the great view on mountains and the perfect location to start hiking and exploring the Sequoia National Park. We arrived after the time for dinner, but the folks had saved some food for us which was... More

Over a 40 year period my husband and I have stayed in all types of lodging; everything from campgrounds to the Franciscan in San Francisco and the Hilton in Evanston (Chicago), Illinois. We found the Monticeto Sequoia Lodge to be charming and welcoming. Overall I'm always most concerned about a place being clean and they rated well on that. It... More

This is a "lodge, " not a "hotel.". In this case that means it's kind of ramshackle and banged up. The rooms are not posh. But the location, inside the park, is outstanding, the rates are reasonable, the wireless is free, and all the meals are included. And unlike a lot of other places in this neck of the woods... More

a great place for families. It may not be shiny, modern or new but it has an atmosphere all of its own. The meals which were included were great and there was something for everyone. Whilst there were no TVs in the rooms families were encouraged to spend time together playing games in the games room or sitting by the... More

There is so much I can say about this wonderful lodge with fantastic panoramic snow covered high mountian views. The vistas of the 12,000 ft elevation to 14,000 ft are beyond words. The chef is one of the best we have ever encountered, and we have been to 5 star hotels in Southern California Coastline many times. The food is... More
