Montecito Sequoia is a wonderful place. It's fantastic four families with children of any age. The counselors for any age group are very well trained and take care of overseeing children while adults can do activities of their own. From lake activities such as rowing, swimming, paddle boarding to horseback riding, to archery, to hiking, to music lessons, to crafts,... More

My family (Grandma, my husband, myself and our three kids (13,13,14) attended week #2 of family camp June 2015. We had a great two bedroom suite in the Lakeview Lodge. The room is not luxurious but comfortable, spacious, clean and overlooked the beautiful lake. There were ceiling fans, dressers and closets in each room. One room had 2 sets of bunkbeds... More

Our annual week at Montecito is the highlight of our summer! We just returned from our 8th visit, which is the best endorsement we can offer. The natural beauty is serene and spectacular, and the culture created by the exceptional staff and embraced by the guests maintains a tradition of adventure, magical fun, and childlike appreciation for life. It is... More

We stayed one night here last weekend as a last-minute Father's Day getaway. I booked it because of the location and good reviews, especially it seemed to be very kid friendly. When traveling with a 3.5 year old and an 8 month old, that's important! We thought the rustic camp was very charming and reminded us grownups of being at... More

The location of this lodge is great. The staff are nice and welcoming. This is an all-inclusive site - free meals, drinks, amnesties (e.g. free boat rides in the small lake at the lodge), etc. The sheets should be cleaner, and this is the only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5.

We chose Montecito Sequoia Lodge because 3 hot meals a day were included in the rate, and we knew there were not a lot of food options in the park. Not only were meals included, but if we were away from the lodge at lunchtime, they would pack us a lunch to take with us. And the food was excellent... More

My husband and I, along with our three month old baby, stayed here for two nights while exploring Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Park. The surrounding area of the hotel was very scenic. There were hiking trails right in the property. We got a room with a King bed and a bunk bed on the main lodge. Our window had... More

Although the hotel is definitely a 2.5 hotel with older basic rooms, it is a very fun hotel for kids. The hotel has free canoes, kayaks, stand-up paddle boards, sail boats for use by its guests. The 3 meals per day is also included. This place is very relaxing and is located near both Sequoia and Kings canyon National Parks.... More

We had made a reservation for Montecito Lodge, The first thing we noticed on arriving was that it looked very old and looked to need some updating. What was not told to us when we made the reservation was that you cannot park close to the Hotel. You have to carry your things quite a distance up to the Hotel... More

This is not a fancy lodge and rooms are basic but is in a great location if visiting Sequoia and Kings Canyon NPs and some great activity for younger kids. We stayed only for a night as we did back in 2009 with the key difference being the superior culinary experience this time around. The dinner buffet had roasted duck... More
