Just came back from our trip to Sequoia. Stayed at this lodge on July 5 for one night. Very unhappy with the room stayed. Appeared that they're hiding some facts to make us reserve for this so called the "Suite" with 2 kings & 2 bunks. We're two families of two adults (couples) & two boys (total 8). They offered... This is the summer camp you dreamed of as a kid. Activities for every age, great counselors for the kids, swimming, boating, biking, crafts, tennis, archery, you name it plus all the meals included. Just a fabulous family vacation! Tons to choose from for both parents and kids.

I've visited Montecito Sequoia Lodge many times, in both summer (Family Camp) and fall. Although I'm a single female, I stay there annually with my extended family, whose members range in age from toddler (when we first visited, 8+ years ago) to retiree. The quality of the staff, combined with the delicious food and the pleasant lodgings, make my annual... More

Travelers please keep in mind that this lodge is in the middle of Sequoia National Park and is run by the park service and therefore not a resort type setting. However the location is amazing. You can get almost anywhere in the park within an hour if not less. It's run like a summer camp, so expect groups of teenagers,... More

Every time we return to this magical location, smiles appear on all of our faces. The first time we came to Montecito Sequoia was in April seven years ago. Snow was falling and it was so beautiful. Warm, friendly staff and excellent food. Family style dining experience guarantees meeting new people at every meal. Summertime is no different. Always lots... More

Sequioa area struggles with options and any sort of value, so we booked this as it was a #1 rating on here. It didn't do it for us. Very cheap but reflected in the quality. Very noisy, walls paper thin. Room was by the stair well, with a bar football table below our bedroom window. Rooms were basic but not... More

I'm glad to see so many positive reviews about our favorite getaway. For the negative one's, here's my two cents: The lodge is really remote and when winter hits, it is even more so due to driving conditions. The staff does an excellent job keeping meal supplies and comfort items on hand to take care of the needs of numerous... More

I almost stayed here last year on a visit to the area. I hesitated due to a few negatives reviews. We decided to visit the area again this year and I went back and forth between here, John Muir Lodge, and Wusachi. After a lot of back and forth I took a chance and booked two nights. Two nights was... More

We just returned from a National Park vacation. We spent one night at the Montecito in order to see Sequoia National Park. Most of our lodging was top shelf and very expensive by choice (Old Faithful Inn, Awahnee, etc) - but that night we need a quick place for one night. Very, very, pleasantly surprised with the Montecito. First of... More
