We booked this place late afternoon, in a bit of a hurry, because the other place we had booked wasn't what we expected. We arrived 15 minutes after we booked, our reservation wasn't put through yet by booking.com but the girl in the desk was nice enough to give us the last room they had available. Dinner was included and... More

Stayed here for just 1 night in Sept 14 as part of our travels through Yosemite and Sequoia NPs. Based on earlier reviews we had a mixed view of what we might encounter but that was quickly put to rest. A quick and friendly check-in had us ensconced in the snow-line lodge building where we were delighted to have a... More

You immediately feel welcome at the Montecito Lodge upon arrival. We were met by Kim and Nick who offered us a bowl of soup in case we were hungry from traveling. It was the best soup we have ever had! The entire staff work very hard to make their guests happy. Robert and the other chefs prepare wonderful meals. They'll... More

We recently stayed in the Sugar Pine Lodge building of the Lodge complex and while we did have a private bath we could hear conversations in the rooms on either side of us anytime we were in it. The grounds could use a little maintenance such as painting the decks and a general cleanup. On the other hand, the two... More

We stumbled on the lodge, during the off season, by accident and were delighted. The lodge is older and it shows its age but everything is clean and maintained. And what you get for your money is amazing. Our room had a queen bed and large private bath. For under $180 we got the room and a buffet dinner and... More

Although we made the reservation last minute right before the Labor Day weekend , the staff were very helpful to accommodate our needs. The place is pleasant and nestled at the beginning of Sequoia National park , it combines modern amenities with wildlife . The apartment was clean and well prepared, they serve food on site due to the fact... More

Great location for visiting the sequoia groves. Friendly place but more youth hostel than hotel. Pity I hadn't noticed the advice not to book the 'suite' which is two rooms linked together with one bathroom -but one room has no windows which is odd/ unpleasant. Food is basic but very plentiful. Clean enough but furniture, carpets, bedding etc rather worn.... More

It was our first time at the Lodge, the staff was friendly. One of the primary reasons we chose this was because their prices included meals too. they were very good (especially the breakfast with made to order omelettes etc) In case you go out for hikes during the day, they provide decent sack lunches too. Leftovers can be grabbed... More

Our annual week at Montecito is the highlight of our summer! After 7 years, we keep coming back, and we hope one day to be lucky enough to have grandkids just so we have an excuse to keep coming. The natural beauty is serene and spectacular, and the culture created by the exceptional staff and embraced by the guests maintains... More
