I was in the Resort on a weekend of July 21-22 2012: One night! We met the manager's folks..or we met them after an issue with our Jeep..on the way up! ALL is well asto Jeep too! Everyone NP Rangers (2)...helped us beyond their call of duty---asto drivers that helped us on the road! Our Cabin was Super...I know no... More

Stayed in very rustic, 2 room historical cabin...no electricity, propane lighting, communal toilets/showers, no locks on cabin doors. Come prepared to camp indoors within a rustic but incredibly beautiful setting. Small store & restaurant on grounds serving great homemade pies. Extremely quiet, not crowded...not for young children unless the rugged outdorsey type.

My family and I have been coming to Silver City for years. We love our annual trip and have our favorite cabin that we always stay in. There are 8 to 10 rustic cabins that you can rent. Most are pretty well equipped - read the small print - you need to bring your own bedding and towels along with... More

My new husband and I had visited Mineral King in 2007 and at that time said that was where we wanted to celebrate our honeymoon. So, we did! We spent seven wonderful days at the Silver City Mountain Resort and wish we could have stayed for 30 more. It is a wonderful place to visit and an amazing part of... More

We've been going to Silver City for 15 years. The cabins are lovely, the people who work there are always accommodating, the pies are delicious and you absolutely cannot beat the surroundings. Certainly one of the most beautiful places in California, if not the world! Be sure to chose the right cabin for your needs and bring clothes for all... More

We stayed in the "SunnyPoint" cabin recently. I strongly suggest you RUN away from this place! for $195/night you get a cabin with NO privacy (directly in front of the bathrooms, directly behind the current on-going construction and almost on top of the road!). We finally decided to sleep on the floor than sleep in the lumpy, "sink in the... More

We stayed at Forest Glen cabin and really loved the " ultimate authentic High Sierra lodging experience" and this was no doubt one of the highlights of our road trip. Also, the staff there are really nice. Thanks.

Everything I read says to go to Silver City for the beautiful mountain views and general peace and remoteness from the world, and while that's all well and true, I think you should go to Silver City equally for the people who work there. There is a sign hanging in the restaurant that says "Hands to work, Hearts to God"... More

My friend and I stayed in one of the "rustic cabins" at Silver City. The cabin was so cute, with every type of dish and pan one could want for cooking . The bed was really comfortable, and the blankets that were provided were fine.. The shared bathrooms were clean and the hot water was immediate. A surprise snow storm... More
