Silver City is an old settlement up a long and winding side road in the National park. Its worth the trip, however. The cabins are in a beautiful secluded spot and there is excellent hiking nearby, particularly from the Mineral King trail head which is about 3 miles up to the very end of the road. Highly recommended. If you... More

Silver City Resort is a great place to stay if you are a fly fisher. The food is great and DO NOT forget to eat a piece of pie, the pie is better than Mom's pie. I stayed in the Florence Peak "cabin" and if you think you may be ruffling you will be mistaken. You will have everything from... More

The Mineral King Valley is one of the most beautiful and secluded places I've ever seen. The Swiss Chalet cabins at Silver city are clean, cozy (but not small), and welcoming. And they have bathrooms! We've stayed in three different cabins over the years, and they're all homey and comfortable. You absolutely cannot beat the views! Porch swings, fire pits,... More

My husband, son(8), daughter (7) and I just returned from our seven-night long vacation at Silver City Mountain Resort and loved it so much that we are already planning on returning within the year. We stayed in one of the Family Cabins, Sunny Point and the cabin was exactly as the Resort described it to be on their website... there... More

We caught the plane from Sydney to LA and then drove to Silver City Resort in the Sequoia Kings Canyon NP. an incredible drive into a beautiful and quiet gem of a place. The Silver City Resort suits the traveller who wishes to slow down, smell the pioneers and 'be' in the wonderful redwood wonderland but also access to the... More

We stayed in many places that felt rustic, yet had modern amenities. This place (we stayed in Paradise Ridge) is truly rustic! First, there is no electricity between 10pm and 12pm. Even when electricity is available, most rooms don't have any lamps other than gas. We did use gas lamps; however we already had troubles breezing because of high elevation;... More

The lodgings were convenient, staff friendly and restaurant a hit. We had the dinner special the night we arrived, tri-tip, roasted potatoes and asparagus and it was all cooked perfectly. For breakfast we had the three-egg omelette, which was excellent.

We chose this location due to proximity to Mineral King trailhead. We stayed in one of the historic, rustic cabins. It was great! The staff answered all of our questions, prepared delicious food at the restaurant, and maintained the property very well. Even the shared restrooms were clean! We would definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone.

My wife and I stayed two nights at the Silver City Mountain Resort at the end of our trip to Sequoia National Park. We had spent the previous six nights at Wuksachi Lodge and the Bearpaw High Sierra Camp and had done over 50 miles of hiking during that time. Our original plan was to hike in the Mineral King... This was our first hotel in Sequoia (and later Yosemite). We stayed in the White Chief chalet and we can´t stop talking about it. I could not describe this with words to justify the experience we had. If you are looking for a place to relax with your family or friends whilst being surrounded by the most amazing landscapes, than... More
