We chose this place because all the other lodges were booked and we wanted to stayed in the SEKI. I was trying to prepare myself based on prior reviews, but I was still shocked. I stayed in the room on the first floor off the lodge area. We can hear anyone walking up the stairs and entering the lodge. There... More

I chose Stony Creek Lodge because on the trip I planned for my nephew's graduation, I had never been to Sequoia National Park and wanted to stay IN the park, as opposed to outside. This is the "sister" property of Montecito Lodge and is very rustic. They only serve pizza, wings, calzones, etc for lunches/dinner, which you have to pay... More

Stony Creek Lodge is a clean, simple, and perfectly acceptable place to stay if you're visiting Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks to see the sights--not to luxuriate in first-class accommodations. While privately managed, this lodge is equivalent to some of the lesser "official" national park lodges we've visited, which is to say that most national park lodges are massively... More

We needed a place to stay last-minute due to a change in our itinerary and I booked the room the morning of our stay. The lodge staff is great! So friendly and helpful. We stayed in room #12, right off the the lobby. We enjoyed visiting with other guests once the restaurant and store closed. If you are looking for... More

This place is downright depressing. Granted I am not a camper and was lured with the promise of a cabin, so weigh this in when you read this review. We were given room #12. This is the ground floor room right on the Lobby next to the general store. I tried opening the blinds to get some sunlight in the... More

Loved this place. Peaceful and quiet. Great customer service, very clean rooms and wifi!!! Walked down to Stoney Creek for a quick splash. Continental breakfast included with my stay and surrounded by many beautiful places to see. Highly recommend it for recharging your batteries.

We stayed for one night in early July. We had two days to burn through the park and we wanted to enjoy as much of the outdoors as possible. We didn't have camping gear with us, so we stayed at the lodge for a place to sleep. We arrived late (but in time for pizza) and left early in the... More

In the middle of Kings Canyon and Sequoia very convenient location to stay. Room had a small bathroom, bed and tv and that's it. Mainly young staff, but kind. Small supermarket on the ground floor for supplies. Had great diner at Montecito, buffet style with lots of choices. Mention your stay in Stony Creek and you will receive discount.

We booked this lodge last minute with the park reservation, ok it is a little rustic but you are in the middle of a park and it is an experience, the room was cosy and warm. I must admit I was a little surprised that they only served pizza as the leaflet we were given stated a family restaurant but... More

Considering that we were in the middle of Sequoia Park, we should be happy with this accommodation. But in reality the hotel is kind of depressing, at least at the mid of September. The room was very tiny, not very clean and the restaurant is in fact a very simple pizza place closing at 6.30 PM. The "general store" is... More
