This review is for their Pizza bar and not for the rooms and accommodations. If you want to have a so-so slice of pizza at the Stony Creek Pizza bar, make sure that you get there no later than an hour before they close. You would assume that the posted hours of operation would be a good indicator as to... More

We lost power a couple times here during our stay. The place is really rustic and nice looking. The park is AMAZING. We only stayed here, because we did not want to drive down the mountain in the dark.

I really do not understand the bad reviews and the low score this lodge gets on this site and booking.com. It is a cozy little lodge in the middle of the wilderness. Still, our room was nicely and cozily decorated, with high quality furniture; the living room is very cozy with the fireplace and inviting furniture as well as wooden... More

The first thing I noticed upon arriving was that the roof was patched with a big piece of sheet metal. Given the rust on it, it doesn't appear to be a temporary fix. I was put in a room that, when opening the door, smelled bad. I assume something died in a wall several weeks prior and the odor still... More

After camping at Eshom which only had pit toilets, we were dying for a clean toilet and a shower. Headed south on Generals Highway (route 198?) toward General Sherman we stopped in at Stony Creek. The showers opened at 8 AM and was 4.00 for ten minutes (minimum usage allowance :( ); sorry I can't comment any more on the... More

This is a rustic lodge on the Generals Highway between Sequoia and Kings Canyon national parks. The complex is set back from the road and includes a shop, a restaurant, a filling station, a laundry and public showers for the near by camp site. Stony Creek itself runs just down from the lodge and has little swimming holes and pools... More

We chose this place because all the other lodges were booked and we wanted to stayed in the SEKI. I was trying to prepare myself based on prior reviews, but I was still shocked. I stayed in the room on the first floor off the lodge area. We can hear anyone walking up the stairs and entering the lodge. There... More

I chose Stony Creek Lodge because on the trip I planned for my nephew's graduation, I had never been to Sequoia National Park and wanted to stay IN the park, as opposed to outside. This is the "sister" property of Montecito Lodge and is very rustic. They only serve pizza, wings, calzones, etc for lunches/dinner, which you have to pay... More

Stony Creek Lodge is a clean, simple, and perfectly acceptable place to stay if you're visiting Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks to see the sights--not to luxuriate in first-class accommodations. While privately managed, this lodge is equivalent to some of the lesser "official" national park lodges we've visited, which is to say that most national park lodges are massively... More

We needed a place to stay last-minute due to a change in our itinerary and I booked the room the morning of our stay. The lodge staff is great! So friendly and helpful. We stayed in room #12, right off the the lobby. We enjoyed visiting with other guests once the restaurant and store closed. If you are looking for... More
