We've been staying at this campground for years, and it's always been 5 star. The sites are gorgeous and quiet. There are only vault toilets and water spigots at this campground, which is fine if you are a rustic camper. We have always loved this campground. Camp hosts in the past have always been friendly and helpful. This site, while... More

Beautiful campground with lots of Sequoias within the campground. Loved that there was plenty of space and that the campsites did not sit on top of each other. We camped during the week for 4 nights in August, it felt like we had the campground to ourselves. Pit toilets were clean as they as pit toilets can be. Hume lake... More

We ended up staying here when we couldn't get reservation at Hume Lake Campground and were really happy that we did. Plenty of trees, clean vault toilets, nice host and a very informative interpretation program in the evenings and mornings good for all ages. There is also a nice hiking trail near by that has a great view of a... More

One of the best things Princess Campground has going for it is its location, halfway between Kings Canyon and Sequoia Natl. Parks. From Princess, we were able to spend one full day in each park without driving too far. It's also near Hume Lake, the only place to swim in either park (safely--people swim, and drown, in the rivers every... More

This was my family and I first trip to the Sequoias.Princess campground was in the perfect location for this trip.We were in campsite #90 which was shaded early morning & evening.Well maintained flat campsites. Not having showers, sink,or flushing toilets sucked. They did clean the Vaults daily. The proximity to Hume Lake (10min) & Grants Grove (15min) was perfect.Go to Sandy cove beach @... My daughter works the summers at Hume Lake Christian Camp so my wife and I along with my other daughter and her husband camped here due to its proximity to Hume. Most of the sites are well laid out and spacious. We had a great time with so much to do in the area. My only head-scrather was the bathrooms.... More

What a BEAUTIFUL and immaculate campground; exceeded our expectations having camped in numerous campgrounds (Yosemite, Lake Cachuma, Bishop, San Clemente, Refugio, Malibu, Lake Tahoe, Big Sur, high and low desert areas of CA and many more). Heavily wooded, nicely elevated fairly spacious campground with giant Sequoias everywhere.Brand new picnic tables and fire pits and paved road.Even the vault toilets are... More

We stay in Sequioa several times a year and high recommend this campground. Kudos to camp hosts, bathrooms are emacuate at all times, they are friendly and helpful. Proximity to Hume Lake is great and they are able to accommodate our 31 foot trailer (Hume lake campground was pretty tight to get into). Hume Lake fishing was awesome in June... More

We are are frequent visitors to Sequoia National Park and were hoping to find open sites at Dorst Creek for our last minute excursion. We were fortunate to find space at Princess campground and much to our surprise we were very happy with the camp. Upon arrival, we were greeted by our very friendly camp hosts - Juanita and Fernando.... More

After arriving at Hume Lake Campground at 1:30a.m. to find it full, we headed for Princess Campgound which is 3 miles away (we had no reservation). Luckily, I had heard that there were usually spaces at Princess campground. We found a spot easily, and set up our tent trailer, getting to bed at 3:30a.m. not knowing exactly what our surroundings... More
