We were tent camping and decided to "lodge" for one night. The owner went to town for the night immediately after renting us a $100 room. It was a bedroom. There was a very small bath. The room was too hot to start. Then the sun set and wind began to blow. It got cold. We couldn't figure out how... More

129$ per night is around 120$ too much for this dump. Stay away from this terrible place: old worn out beds, very small cabins, bad smell, cold, poor food, no wifi, no cell phone access, no nothing actually. Except: Located far out in the wonderful nature in Kings Canyon.

nice hotel for a national park. not too historic but modern. won't write a book about the restaurant but we've had worse. delivered on the basic needs. if we had to do it again...we would of camped. if you're not prepared or prefer a cushy stay....this isn't your worst option.

Unfortunately, we didn't stay at this lodge, because we were booked elsewhere. I would have stayed here! We spent time at Cedar Lodge, in King's Canyon, and I have the say that the food was awful and overpriced, although staff was delightful. On the way out of the canyon, we stopped for a late lunch, hoping the food at King's... More

My fiancé and I stayed here twice in the same trip - the night before our 4 day backcountry hike, and the night after. We really enjoyed our experience here, but it is what it is - both the good and the bad - and you have to take it for that. It's many steps up from camping in a... More

As advertised, rustic cabins with running water, clean sheets and a bed, in the mountains. The lack of tv, cell phones, and internet is compensated by the clean air, quiet, and beautiful scenery. Really, it is nice to get away from all the noise and electronics for a while. The lodge is Close and centrally located to many park attractions... More

America is a great and fabulous country and Kings Canyon Lodge is the best of the days of America gone by! This is rustic, clean, decent food, authentic and spectacular scenery. Owner Louis cooks up some good food and as you sit at the bar and enjoy your food and a good chocolate shake after a long day of spectacular... More

This is a rustic, simple, real-life place. No internet or cel coverage. Owner Louis is an authentic human being who is not going to pamper you or respond well to unrealistic expectations. It's out in the wilderness; gas is more expensive. If you want a comfortable, spartan cabin with good beds, clean sheets and towels, home cooked food and cold... More

As I read some of the negative reviews I cannot help but think that people are spoiled by life, always expecting "more", never slowing down enough to just enjoy where they are. To enjoy Kings Canyon Lodge you must realize that you are in the middle of one of God's greatest creations, Kings Canyon. The beauty of Kings Canyon is... More

It cracks me up to read that this is a "quaint, rustic lodge". What a pit. Don't use the bathroom outside of the store. It is worse then the filthiest gas station bathroom you've ever been in. No tp, soap or paper to dry your hands. Owner rude.
