What a wonderful campground! We had tons of space and were right on a nice creek. The kids played in the creek (Although it was VERY cold) and we took a nice little hike. The shuttle is fantastic and picks you up right at the campground and can take you to any of the popular sights. We saw deer almost... More

Lodgepole is a very nice NPS campground. Store, Visitor Center, showers, laundry, shuttle, and deli/burgers/pizza are 1/4 to 1/2 mile (depending on your site) away from the camp area. Booked 4 nights, and liked it so much ended up adding an extra night. Got lucky and got one of only three open tent spaces. People were lining up at 7:30am... More

We just returned from a 3 night trip to Lodgepole and had an awesome time! We stayed at campsite 99. The tent pad is large and the site is pretty big also. My only complaint is that campsite 98 is very close. if you book those two campsites and go with friends, it would be perfect! The bathrooms are right... More

Lodgepole Campground is a must. Although usually booked in the summer time you can usually find a few open campsites. We spent 1 night and also hiked the Tokopah falls trail the next morning. Our campsite was right next to the rushing river as were many of the other sites. We did not have any problems with wildlife at all.... More

I found this campground online and reserved the last empty camp site. (#45) I didn't expect to see snow but that was awesome . Sounds of the river ,seeing tall trees, discovering the cave !!! and hiking to see waterfall ... all make you relax and happy. There are lots of activities and kids never get bored. if you want to... I've been going to Lodgepole since i was a kid. It is a great place to camp. It has gotten a little crowded, but still very nice. If you want a good spot you neeed to make reservations 4-6 months in advance. you will have your choice of spots at this time. I usually go in july, and the river... More

I went up to Lodgepole with some friends and it was a awesome time! I have never been camping before and it was a pleasant experience, enough for me to go back. The campsites were close but far enough for some privacy, depending on where your at. We had two different campsite, so we would go over to each persons... More

My husband & I drove on a Friday up to Lodgepole towards the end of Oct. It was very cold & we wore lots of layers. There is ongoing construction on the highway just before you reach the campground. It is about an hour drive up the mountain & you need to time it as they only let traffic through... More

I just got back from a family camping trip to Lodgepole. I went with my husband, 3-yr-old son, and my in-laws. We had sites 124 and 125. They are definitely two of the best sites at Lodgepole. The only site better is 128 because it's on the farthest edge of the campground and secluded by fallen trees. Our site 124... More

Great time in Lodgepole. We were in #73, just a short stroll to the creek/river. The kids loved it. We were near the river and loved the sound at nite. Another couple we met camp on the uphill side, away fr the river, and said they see lots of wildlife come down off the mountain, then we looked at sure... More
