Our family of 5 stayed in one of the duplex bath cabins for 3 nights in June. Dated facilities, but clean and roomy enough to leave room for one of the kids in a sleeping bag plus all our junk. Great scenery, amazing trees and about as centrally located as you can ask for in the parks. There is a... more

After staying one night in one of the tent cabins (wooden walls and floors, canvas roof, no plumbing or electricity) and another night at the Cedar Grove Lodge, which was fun but the room was rather small and dark, we found the Grant Grove cabin cheerful and pleasant. I had to spend more time in the cabin than I normally... more

We stayed in a duplex bath cabin - two double beds and our own bathroom. We stayed with our friends who we were travelling with and the cabin was lovely. There were coffee and tea making facilities, a clean bathroom with a great shower and heating. Enough room for the 4 of us for 3 days and the Grove is... more

Great setting and location however the cabins were a disappointment. Expected at least a clean bathroom. hair all over the bathroom - shower missing a shower head. For $129 a night ! Rug was filthy. Rustic is appreciated in a NP but they NEED better housekeeping. Now that I have read through some of the reviews, I see that is... more

Well, it does have location going for it. When I stay in a cabin in a National Park, I do not have high expectations, but the cabin could have been cleaned better. The bedding was OK. I share the earlier warning about the effectiveness of the heater . . . it was like sitting in front of a fire, one... more

We stayed in a cabin in Grant Grove (meadow camp, No. 521). I strongly warn anyone against staying there if it is not the height of summer. We stayed there in September, a HUGE mistake! The $91 cabin said it had a heater. The "heater" was only capable of heating 5 inches of air on top of it, nothing else.... more

Just stayed at one of the rustic historic bath cabins. It was clean spacious but simple. The whole General Grant lodge complex needs significant renovation and updating of landscaping and planning. The only dining facility available to non-campers was the dining room at the registration/souvanir store. This dining room serves the cabins, the John Muir Lodge, and general area of... more

OK, Well first of all I am not a sissy girl. These cabins are old but that didn't bother me, dirty carpet shabby drapes, didn't bother me, but, the dead mouse and the huge blacks ants trying to carry it away did! I walked to the reservation desk and explained the problem and asked to have the carpets swept (don't... more

We have been to Sequoia a few times before. This time we met some other family members at Grant Grove. They got a cabin without a bath that was much nicer than our duplex cabin with a bath. The only drawback was the abundance of mice in our cabin. Looking back, we laugh at chasing them around in the middle... more

We booked to stay in the only single bath cabin, known as the "honeymoon cabin" for 3 nights. The write up on the property website suggested the cabin is so popular it often gets booked up a year in advance. We were really looking forward to our own cosy cabin and were more than prepared for it to be on... more
