Wuksachi Lodge is a good choice for visitors to Sequoia National Park. The lodge is fairly new and centrally located. It replaced 300 cabins that were torn down when the park decided they were an unhealthy choice for lodging amongst the giant trees. There is a main lodge building with small gift store and restaurant (but no lodging rooms in... More

Very far from anything is another Deleware North run Kitchen and hotel. Lovely room, great food, and what can you say about the setting?? Glory of the Universe!! Super everything...

Stayed a couple of nights on our honeymoon. A good location - not too far from many of the areas we wanted to visit. Rooms fairly basic. We had a "deluxe" - the owners might want to consult a dictionary on that one. Service - a mixed bag. Certainly not impressed by the unfriendly front desk - or the girl... More

good park location, excellent restaurant (managed by the same firm as the Ahwanhee in Yosemite but with greater flair and quality) and only fault was the terrible lighting level in the guest rooms

We had a large room with a king size bed and separate room for couch and TV. You have to bring your luggage from the parking lot up an incline and up stairs to the room. We saw deer in the parking area twice. Accommodations were clean and pleasant. Lodge and restaurant were across the street. Stayed after Labor Day... More

I can't agree with those who say the rooms are old fashioned or out of date. We stayed in the Silliman building. We found the room always immaculately clean and comfortable. It's about a 5 minute walk across the parking lot via paved, lighted walkway to the lodge and dining room. Plenty of luggage carts are at hand to carry... More

We chose the Wuksachi to celebrate a family birthday and we were extremely pleased with the facility; after driving by it for more than 20 years, we decided to go see the sequoias and we are sure glad we did. The Wuksachi is about in the middle of the Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Park areas, so it was the... More

It maybe not be everyones cup of tea, but we liked the place. So nice to have friendly staff with a sense of humour. Food was not cheap but nice and normal portions- so good! We ate there every night, no where nearby. It desperatly needs aircon rooms and hotel, hot! Also a pool would be wonderful, freshwater to keep... More

We've tent camped in the back country of Algonquin Park in Ontario and luxuriated at the Chateau Frontenac in Quebec and have experienced all kinds of accommodations in between. The Wuksachi Lodge is better than merely decent if a little pricey. It's comfortable and clean and an excellent jumping-off point for touring Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks. It does... Accommodation in Kings Canyon / Sequoia is very limited so there aren't many choices. We looked into this a lot before booking and this is the place to stay. Rooms are a good size and comfortable. The hotel doesn't really have any facilities apart from breakfast and we didn't have this. A word of warning - it is built on... More
