Overall Impression We stayed here in April. There was still much snow ( a few feet in places) on the ground. It never got below freezing and there was fog in the air due to the evaporating snow. The Sequoia trees are huge and worth the trip for them alone. The lodge had a wonderful gourmet restaurant inside, the food... More

You would find it difficult to fault the setting of this Lodge, peaceful, beautiful views, wildlife all around and a glorious view of the stars to be enjoyed at night. The front desk staff were efficient, knowledgable and friendly. Our experiences in the dining hall were very mixed. On night 1 despite the place being very busy we had prompt... More

Other people had better rates through other sites like Expedia. The largest of the rooms (called Superior) are nice with extra space for our family of five. We went here when the hotel was only a year old and it was in better shape. The bathrooms are in need of some upkeep with the handicap slider doors unable to open... More

This is the only lodging actually in the Park other than camping. We stayed here for two nights in mid July 2007. The drive from Fresno was scenic with elevations marked every 1000ft, the Lodge itself being at around 8000ft (twice the height of Ben Nevis)! The setting is absolutely stunning and the timber lodges fit well into the surroundings,... More

Nice stay and hotel. Location is great in the middle of the park and of a forest, you really feel in the middle of the nature. Then the rooms have nothing special. No air cooling, not a big problem for us but we know it can be for a lot of people in this country, so you should better know,... More

For $220 a night I expected more. I've stayed at many national park lodges and I understand that you are basically paying for the location. However, most national park lodges that offer what the Wuksachi Lodge offers are about $100 per night. The rooms were average size, there was no A.C., there were no elavators. The lodge does have a... More

Stayed for 1 night at this lovely hotel, wish we had stayed for longer. Excellent restaurant for both dinner and breakfast with amazing views. Lovely clean rooms in peaceful surroundings.

Stayed one nite at the Wuksachi Lodge driving through Sequoia Nat. Park. Probably the best part of the hotel is the location. 6 miles above the General Sherman tree, maybe 20 above Moro Rock. The rooms are large but plain. We stayed upstairs and there is no elevator so dragging bags upstairs was unexpected though there are attendants to help... More

I started my experience with Wuksachi Lodge by reading reviews here, and Expedia. I had also seen it, driving by as I am a frequent visitor to Sequoia. We usually rent an RV, which I like much better. It is not such much of a bad experience at the hotel, but because it is a much more efficient (and similarly... More

Location = excellent. Room = ok. Restaurant & wait staff = don't expect much. Unfortunately, the prices for the restaurant are completely misleading. After reading the menu, it's only natural to expect that the food will live up to the pricing. Truthfully, you could have a better meal eating freeze-dried astronaut food packs. And the service. Brings the meaning of... More
